Umm...guys... can we have a tiny bit of reassurance for asset holders lol... just saying, the timing for this cryptic announcement is a bit... well, gut-wrenching for anyone who is holding through all the recent events.

Yes, THAT whateveryousayman...posted in Introduce Yourself
Hello all, and thanks for letting me join. I am not new to crypto, not all that new to Burst, and not unknown to a few of you already.
I was a mod on BN for a bit, and yes, I waved the flag and jumped on the AG bandwagon like so many before me. In doing so, I probably made a few people upset. I am ready to deal with that, and welcome any discussion that may come my way as a result of my involvement with adam and my vocal support of what I thought he was trying to do.
That said, there is more to me than what you've read so far... I am currently one of the traders for the 402 asset, I have my own 'big burst plans' for the future, and I hope to contribute the same dedication and enthusiasm here as I have elsewhere... for as long as my meager contribution is welcome ;)

RE: 7 daysposted in Announcements
@OWTBlockchain Given the number of high profile members of the Burst community that have come here to chime in, I would see this as a good sign. There are many who want to see the coin succeed, and I think they will be able to do so.
I, for one, am encouraged to hear that there is a plan being put into action. Scammers run when exposed, and that is clearly not what happened. Those who were accused of being scammers are still very active in the community, and are still honoring asset payouts. -
RE: PMLNETWORK ASSETposted in Asset Exchange
@pml2020 said in PMLNETWORK ASSET:
Provirile Marketing Leaders
Please explain:
how the company is worth 1million USD.From what I can find online, it seems like there has been no social media activity from the company since last september... with the exception of some promo vids you did to get free coins on BN. Not a huge deal, but for a company with Marketing Leaders in the name, I would expect a stronger online presence.
How much of a mark up will there be on the minutes being sold?
You state: "The mobile application / asset will make huge profits from the mark-up on the pre-paid mobile phone credit sales and the mark-up on all other exchange services provided. ", but that gives us absolutely no idea how profitable the app should be or become.
You state
"This asset was designed to eventually give the best return on investment over time on the Burst Asset Exchange."
How was this calculated?"This asset was designed to grow in value automatically and become the most valuable asset on the Burst Asset Exchange."
Same question, How was this calculated?"This app / asset can be used / supported / promoted and made a success easily by the joint effort of all of us instead of the effort of only one or two individuals."
This seems to imply that you expect the community to do most of the promotion and to ensure it's long term success... but you are keeping 3/4 of the asset shares to yourself. What do you plan on doing to make your effort worth the approx. 700000$ that you are trying to collect here?"This app / asset will be continually modified / re-engineered and enhanced in the future to keep up with technology, burst price, market changes and expansion."
You are saying that the terms and conditions associated with the asset will change to keep up with market changes etc, but you also state that "This asset will not be affected by the increase/decrease of the price of burst coins."
Which of these two very different statements is the truth? From my point of view, there is not much here, if anything, to inspire confidence. Please elaborate on the DETAILS, not the vision or goals.
edit I also want to point out that using crypto for mobile top ups in the Caribbean is already being offered. You are trying to compete with HUGE companies that are already established and running quite well.

@gpedro lol, yeah... conversations can get a bit... heated, sometimes, but in the end we are both in it for the same reason... to rule the world. Once we get there we'll need to work out who gets what and all that, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. :D

Thanks for the welcome!
@splash-of-wild Indeed, you are depriving the community by not giving them a place to say hi:D
@vExact , I am still going to be doing the videos, and plan to find some way to fix the audio in the first few or just redo them. I will certainly be posting them here somewhere, and will be making another very soon. I meant to do it last weekend, but things just got a bit busy.
@RichBC , It took me long enough to see what was right in front of me, seems I had dollar signs stuck in my eyes. I think you are right about us not having gotten into any memorable dispute... even if we did, we'd work it out. All I see now is what lies ahead :)

RE: ADSactly Community 7 Day Announcementposted in Asset Exchange
@thomeefl69 I hold 350 of them, so I am not what you could call a big holder either. The move to BTS is good for the asset and the asset holders, for exactly the reason provided "... in terms of the BURST Technology and what its current capabilities are VS the BITSHARES Platform. Primarily the Pegging of ASSETS to BITUSD, BTS, BTC, SBD, OBITS, etc.", and others. The asset price is stifled by burst, and will have much more room to grow on the BTS platform.
I have nothing to say about dividend payouts, as it is true that the div payouts have been sporadic and communication in this regard seems to have been neglected. Personally, I am not bothered by it. Have you tried asking @adsactly or @nameless about the delay?
As for being forced to use BTS, or who knows what... well, that was already answered by adsactly "...We will offer a Buy Back or Swap to the new Asset on the BITSHARES Platform....". Nobody is being forced to do anything.
Now, while there may have been some slacking off in the area of reliable div payouts, they are clearly managing the fund very well. The transparency that is offered regarding current holdings and portfolio values etc indicates that they've been working on this project very actively and have every intention of making sure that ALL investors, regardless of size, are able to profit from it's growth over the long term. That said, this is all just my opinion... I have a few adsactly units and a thought or two on the matter, that is all. If you disagree, then so be it. I don't have anything to do with any of it, so maybe your questions and comments would have been better directed at someone who is not actually in the same position as you in this 'situation'. I can explain and justify my opinions all day long, but I won't be explaining and justifying other people's decisions.

You guys all rock, seriously. You have no idea how hard it was to convince her to join here after all that happened 'over there' over the past week, so thank you all... and thanks for not blaming her for being married to a big gaping asshole like me :D :D
@LithStud they're going to need stronger chocolate than that :D

RE: Yes, THAT whateveryousayman...posted in Introduce Yourself
@Hyzi0 if you gotta get it off your chest, do it. That's the only way to move forward. I won't trade less or worse because of it, I hold 402 as well and would not have taken the job if I wasn't in it for the long haul.
@ScreamIndevnull Like I said, I can be a loudmouth and a jerk. I know that, and I know that I pissed some people off. I wasn't trying to pass off my own behavior as being the fault of anyone that I was affiliated with. Typically, I'm a more respectful person than I was with some on BN, and I intend to demonstrate that here.

80% intention of you guys is to scam its already start with Adam everyone has senn how is scanmming with bust in the names of asset casino e,t,c
Maybe you should take your problems up with this adam guy... I think he has his own forum, it should be easy enough to find for someone of even minimal internet navigation skill.
Try to keep in mind the fact that scammers exist everywhere that you can find money, but that does not mean that everyone offering you an investment opportunity is a scammer. If you can't handle the risk involved in crypto investment, maybe try government savings bonds...

RE: Need help setting up my asset.posted in Asset Exchange
"Question: once the initial escrow is setup, should there be another that a small percentage of the dividends is put into to pay for equipment replacement, upgrades?"
I would say this could be a good 'optional feature', but a few things need to be considered.
- this would slow down asset issuers needing to upgrade... motherboard fries a week before xmas, and all of a sudden the asset produces nothing until the person(s) controlling the escrow gets back from grandma's house two weeks later...for example.
- we are still dealing with trusting a third party with funds... so the investor needs to count on both the issuer and the escrow operator being honest and reliable, for the long term.
- the cost of escrow is not nothing. Transaction fees aside, pretty much any escrow service in existence charges a fee, and for good reason. They provide a valuable service.
"Question: ( try to keep the laughing to a low roar ) How much burst to I need in my personal account to start an asset I ask this because I see assets that start at 10000 burst to millions to sell?"
This one is simple and complicated at the same time, as it would be entirely dependent on what the asset claims to offer. The more the asset is worth, the more you are likely to sell it for, so you should be able to back up a decent percentage of the what is made from the sale in the case that the asset has some kind of catastrophic failure.
"Question: what is the best way to determine the starting value of the the Burst to sell?"
With the mining asset example, consider total mined per 'x' number of days. Divide by total shares that are to be sold. The result would be payout per share, per whatever the number of days is. Now ask yourself, how long should the purchaser expect to wait until they have made their money back. Let's do some math... all of this is just for the example, numbers from thin air...
10000 burst mined per month
100000 shares sold in first round of asset release
say you sell at 10 burst per sharethat makes 0.1 burst per month, per share. At 10 burst per share, it will take 100 months to make ROI, except the mining diff goes up all the time. Expected return on mining decreases by about 5% per month, so this math is a bad deal for the investor, even though at first glance, it can look good to someone inexperienced or uneducated in how burst mining works. This scenario would make more sense if the issuer sold either 100000 at 1 burst, or 10000 at 10 burst.
This is a very simplified version of what needs to be considered to make a mining asset work for both the issuer and the investor.
"Question: should there be three or four wallets setup. One for total amount of burst earned, Second for the percentage that was set to be paid to the asset holders. A third for the percentage set to pay yourself. A forth if a second escrow is not needed for replacement of parts, upgrades etc."
Proper reporting and documentation of transactions made and the reasons should negate the need for something like this. There is no reasonable way to remove the risk, but if the issuer is thorough and vigilant, the info they provide should be sufficient here.
"Question: should there be a two party system be set in place one for the escrow. I see this as two highly trusted and high reputation persons that will make sure that the dissemination of those funds will be handled properly and a proof of the total amount of funds along with proof that each asset holder was paid their appropriate amount."
I refer to my first answer, as I feel that it answers this question as well.
Of course, this is all just the opinion of a guy who has never issued an asset.. at least not an asset that was ever sold/released... yet.
**For the sake of clarity, I agree 100% with everything in your post. This should serve as a great 'how-to' for any prospective issuer. Thank you for taking the time to put it all out clearly like this, @croydan1
