RE: Growth driversposted in Price & Trading Discussion
I've seen that there are many views on the possible growth drivers... But I think that for a further development the currancy has to be used!
Maybe starting using like ingame-money ? We got plenty of mobile games with their own currency...
It would be cool to make a mobile game or different games with the same currency: Burstcoin. -

Ok I understand that the payments are more regular with a pool. But if one is looking for a long term investment (mining expecting a future price rise or pump) it seems most convenient to mine alone.

Convenience of pool-miningposted in Mining & Plotting
I'm looking at the stats of some miners at my pool (with around 20 TB same size as I'm building up) and I notice this:
Mined Blocks 84 (241,919 Burst)
Pool Mined Balance 226,615 Burst
Solo Mined Balance 0 BurstSo this means that this one mined 84 blocks for a value of 241,919 but because he mined in a pool and not alone, he received 226,615. So if this is right, what is the advantage to mine in a pool? You get more chance to find a block?

Growth driversposted in Price & Trading Discussion
Hi everyone,
I'm mining burst for a couple of weeks and I'm watching the prices. But I do not fundamentally understand what growth drivers could we have in this altcoin. The POS system seems to be the future also for other alts e.g. ETH, I'm not questioning that but:- what concretly burstcoins are used for? apart from mining and trading.
- How burst can compete with other 100500 altcoins ?

RE: Plotting start pointposted in Mining & Plotting
Ok I got it!
wplotgenerator [account id] [start nonce] [number of nonces] [stagger size] [threads] {/async}If someone has same issue, here is what to do:
- open the cmd
- get to the your HDD directory (where you wanna plot), for me it was G:\
- if you plotted before you'll just have a Burst directory with wplotgenerator.exe
- so get in this directory: "cd burst"
- write this cmd command: wplotgenerator [account id] [start nonce] [number of nonces] [stagger size] [threads] {/async}
In my case it was: wplotgenerator 15558376529107709460 705000001 4194304 5440 4 /async

Plotting start pointposted in Mining & Plotting
Hi, I can't find a solution to this problem:
- I'm using CPU plotter
- for several reasons I'm plotting on a small 1,5 TB drive (plots of 1 TB)
- after I'm optimizing the plot and transfering it to a bigger HDD 4,5 TB
The problem is that when I'm starting to plot the second TB I'm getting the overlap problem, because I have deleted the first TB of optimized plot.
Is there a way to manually set up the plotter to start not from 700000001 but from 705000000 so I will not have overlap?

RE: Plotting HDD disconectsposted in Mining & Plotting
It seems that it's something wrong with this HDD, now I'm plotting on the internal and got no problems. I think I will plot small plots and than transfer them on external HDD...

NTFS, I tried to format it from 4096 byte to 32k but it doesn't matter. I'm using cpu plotter, gpu is too complicated to setup.

Plotting HDD disconectsposted in Mining & Plotting
I'm getting this issue that I'm not able to solve. When I try to plot my new external HDD, it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting so the plotter can't write the data. Somebody has resolved this issue.
I'm not sure if this is the problem of HDD driver or what... Sometimes I can plot about 20 GB and it stops, other times it plots 0 GB. I formatted the HDD various times, but it dosen't change nothing. Any suggestions ? -
