@BeholdMiNuggets imho, most externals fail because of heat (could be dead wrong, but that is how I feel) , so when I put them in the case they are well ventilated . External's price is a lot less then internals , so yeah...I just use them and if they break, I'll change them, so far no problems ;-)

RE: New to mining: Seagate 8TB archive HDD and plot optimization questionposted in Mining & Plotting
@BeholdMiNuggets I just left it on default...I didn't change any settings other than pool and such. The rest of my HDDs are WDs ; I usually buy externals and pull the drive out and use them internally.

@BeholdMiNuggets I use the new Blago miner with AVX2 and it takes about 30-35 seconds to read 76 TB in total

@BeholdMiNuggets Heya, I have 6 of these 8TB archive drives. Once plotting is done, their reading speed is just fine, no problems with them - so far.

@crowetic I would assume that only a few people that able to access those wallets - unless there is a backdoor (which we hope there isn't - although what is up with the SCRIPT you talking about?! ) .
and if people has access that not supposed to have, why the wallet address not changed?! something similar to this happened before...just sayin'

@vprf well, yes and no. Let's see ...For example, Nameless had his -lets call it- disagreement with others which led him moving on to other platform.
Now, lets see how it affected me as an asset investor (numbers rounded for easier calculation) :I used to have 200.000 402 assets on one of my accounts. Got it lets say average of 3 Burst / share.
That is 600.000 Burst in Nameless' hands (yeah it wasn't all purchased from him but the shares of his assets were sold by him so one way or other he got the money, maybe earlier (from Newsilver, FAD or 500K) - possibly more because there were his asset consolidations, etc.).
From 402, I got paid various amounts of Burst per weeks ; last time it was 2500 , so around 10.000 / month or 120.000 /year.
It was OK because it was supposed to be a long time asset, right?
But, the asset was created 8 months ago, so at the max he could pay out around 80.000 .
Now , he decided to move on ... I dumped my assets into a buy (for 1 per share) right away recuperating 200.000 - and I was lucky because of course 402 asset price is 0 now - investors cant sell their shares, so cant re-gain some invested money ...
So, he got the 320000 I will never see again because it would require me to move to BTS to get any chance getting it back (if I hadn't sold my shares) .
Even there, who knows how he will pay out and how long it will take to move on for the next platform ... And I am not going to BTS just because Nameless feels that it is the place for him and his asset. I believe in Burst, I invested in Burst, I paid in Burst and I expect to be paid in Burst from a Burst asset. If I wanted BTC or BTS payout, I would had invested in BTC or BTS.Same deal with Adsactly ( another Nameless tied asset ) , a once 70+ / share asset is basically worthless , haven't paid dividends for months and both of them move on to next platform...
so, yeah asset investors are screwed yet again...

@nameless so, I am assuming that your investors from NXT and then HZ are in Burst at the moment - and about to move on to BTS with you? very understanding bunch of people indeed...
what IS the goal of the asset btw? -

@vprf Asset investors were screwed before , unfortunately .

RE: ADSactly Community 7 Day Announcementposted in Asset Exchange
@whateverUsayman explain it to me please, how is this a good move ? well, granted, you said for the asset, but how about the investors? I'm glad they doing great and made a shitton of money but sure as heck, I haven't seen a single Burst for a while from them. Adsactly haven't paid dividends for a long time, asset prices in the gutters and now they move on to other platform (so does Nameless , most likely not a coincidence) forcing us to use BTS or who knows what next time. I guess I just fail to see how it is a great move for us, little guys...
