@rds If you're comparing a web server architecture to stand alone EXEs then it would take me too long to get you squared away. Best of luck to you.....

RE: My experience trying to set up a Lex code poolposted in Mining & Plotting
First, you should not setup a pool that you know nothing about. The whole purpose of open source code is for developers to reuse and not have to RE invent the wheel. It is NOT to have an already made piece of software that works exactly to your likely right out of the box. Furthermore, Lex took code that had a few bugs in it, fixed them, then gave it back out as a rewrite... I have been able to get this pool up and running just fine. I am already now working on creating the GUI to my liking. Please understand, when a developer puts his/her hard work out there for free..... they do so expecting another developer worth their SALT to be able to extend, change, modify, update to their needs.... I hope your next venture goes better... Huck

I am mining in Lexicon's pool It went down the other day, but I didn't panic. I simply messaged Lex, he told me about the issue, then I patiently waited for it to come back up. As a result, I got a payout of 2,127 Burst. In the future, leave Lex a message and he will reply. Keep in mind he is in the UK so adjust for sleeping hours.
@Red-Green .... pools are generally very stable, but they do have issues from time to time based upon traffic, difficulty, attacks, and other factors. One thing you can count on is Lex will make it right the moment he is aware of a problem.
Also, the community is glad to have you as a miner. Please encourage your friends to join still. Post again if you need assistance. Have a great day.... Huck
