@tco42 I hear you. But as I said it's not worth it NOR feasible for me to leave the machine down for days at a time. Not sure if anyone that is recommending me wait for days even read my post. The machine that these will end up on would not be worth even trying to plot on, it would take 10 year.
That being said the speed from the GPU was able to plot the 6tb up to the stopping point of 600 megs (where it failed) and 300 megs (failure) in well under a day.
I like the idea of plotting 1tb plots and if I knew how, I would.. which is why I had the pros work on it. Even they couldn't get it to work so... yeah... And yes I heard the write speeds were faster with smaller drives etc... but alas don't know how to rig it up..
Appreciate the knowledge though.. to be clear I am not going to plot with the cpu period... so that is a mute topic. GPU is possible hence why GPU plotters exist. Just wish I could find someone that knew how to set them up where they worked.
