@SilverSlonny Sure but gpuPlotter does not work as it should be, the fact that one of the admins mentioned that he does not like it neither indicates that there is more into it. I don't know the exact details but I tried gpuPlotter in both modes and I am not satisfied at all.

@luxe I don't like gpuplotter at all, I prefer xplotter instead, the reason is because for me it's a waste of time to plot and then optimize it. At the cost at my time I can use xplotter and have the plots optimized already.

The odd thing is a lot of people seem to take the hard drives out of the my book and sell case only.
People do that because the drives are more expensive without the box.
Single 8TB RED is ~310$ while sold in the box for ~250$ each!But the WD My book 8 TB does not come with a RED HDD. It comes with a WHITE label HDD, there is no indication that its a Red label wd drive.

@cashgold Yes there is a batch file in it that u need to run.
@Blago I think he was talking about batch file.

@Tate-A yes exactly, they round it up. An 8TB is not a true 8TB

HowTo Calculate and Convert storage bytesposted in HowTo's & Tutorials
Small reminder!! Bit : A Bit is a value of either a 0 or 1.
Byte : 1 Byte = 8 Bits
Kilobyte (KB) : 1 KB = 8,192 Bits ,
===========1 kB = 1,024 Bytes
Megabyte (MB) 1MB =1,024 KB
Gigabyte (GB) 1GB = 1,024 MB
Terabyte (TB) 1TB = 1,024 GB
Petabyte (PB) 1PB = 1,024 TB
Exabyte (EB) 1EB = 1,024 PB
Zettabyte (ZB) 1ZB = 1,024 EB1GB = 4,096 nonce
1TB = 4,096*1,024GB = 4,194,304 -

RE: XPlotter for optimized plots (CPU)posted in Plotter
@Zaziki What do u mean? If u have 8TB of drive believe me u don't want to plot a single file big as 8TB in it because if that plot will be corrupted u will end up re-plotting that big drive again, gl with that.
What u want to do in this case is to split plots into 4 or 8. If u split the plots into 4 u plot the drive for 2TB each of the plots, 1TB each if u want to split it in 8 chunks. And then if one of ur plots will be corrupted u will end up only re-plotting what is corrupted and not the whole drive as before.
Having multiple plots in a single hard drive is better than 1 packed plot, the drive also make it easy to read small chunks of plots instead of a big one.

RE: How To Choose The Right Poolposted in Mining & Plotting
@goldshidlfx U choose the pool according to the what pools owner want. U can check that out here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1KHu9BWwy_QXIYAx2m_Tzs9BqPoTYUDhEDbHihZEXGsE/edit#gid=81124645
U can mine everywhere if owner pools don't mention how much storage is recommended.
Recommended plot sizes is the column u are looking for.

RE: Jminer serverwallet problem bug.....HELPposted in Mining & Plotting
@Branislav When u switch pools u need also to reassign reward pool address. The communication walletServer undefined means that U didn't add the burst wallet server address to the jminer conf file hence since it's empty it's not being used and displayed as undefined.
Like I said before u do not need that, because that option is only to retrieve the information about who won the block according to the wallet server. It only displays information from the wallet nothing more, u don't need that.
