RE: [ANN] Falcon Burst Poolposted in Pool Announcements
@gpedro thanks for the tips! I just made a new wallet with 30 word pass and only wrote it down on a paper and didn't save it to computer in anyway, is that pretty safe? and I will also never use clipboard for this wallet. also look at the value of burst! it's nearing $19 usd

RE: [ANN] Falcon Burst Poolposted in Pool Announcements
my wallet has been very laggy today and even closed on me once, I had to reboot to get it too load. I have a question, I want to secure my burst coins. are they safer in my wallet, or should I create another wallet to store them? or should I put them up on an exchange site like poloenix? any advice. ive only been mining for 4 days but I ordered some new drives and am putting some extra cash into this so wanna be safe. also where does the wallet get its pricing from for burst? right now its over $16

RE: I reformated and changed stagger size. Results tommorow after plot!posted in General Discussion
The results are in! and I am very happy with them. with my previous stagger size was 2048 and after reformation and plotting with a new stagger size of 49,152 I know get a read time of 14.2 seconds for 3tb, thats wayyyyy better then my previous 50 seconds. and its' not even optimized yet.

@Rossman01 damm i had to reformat my plots today for better read speed.... oh well its only 3tb i have haha. Be back up soon 3 hours tops!

RE: Recommend a good pool for newbie 2.7tbposted in Mining & Plotting
@D2iH8c im having no luck. I think now with the difficulty you need 50-100tb to make any good coin. It may take me 3 months to get my rig up to that and by then you will need 100-200tb. Oh well im still gonna try :)

RE: suddenly my hard drive has 74 gigs free on it?!?!?posted in Help & Support
Oh my thanks alot guys. After further review it seems i tried to plot a 74gb file before to this drive and deleted it but it sat in the recycling bin still taking up the drive space. I gotta be more careful and pay better attenstion! Thanks again!

@haitch ok I will keep that in mind thanks for the info. Also is it too late to get seriously into burst coin? I read that most of the coin is already been mined and soon it will be finished.

Thanks! Ya good info there. I like creating 1 or 2 large files per drive which people say can be risky if it fails or gets corrupt it can be time consuming but i have had no issues yet with my hdd. When I get my second drive I will optimize and then post the results here. Still got about 4 hours until my plots done. Excited to see how much time it will knock off 50 seconds. My stagger was only 2048 before and now its like 24x larger :) i will be disappointed if it only knocks a few seconds off hahaha.

I reformated and changed stagger size. Results tommorow after plot!posted in General Discussion
Hey. I asked around a bit and did some research and from what I gathered and people tend to agree on is that stagger size can affect your mining read time, something ive been having issues with. I have a 3tb drive that was originaly plotted with a 2048 stagger. It would take 50 seconds to read my plots every round at 14 mb/s with usb 3.0, and I asked around and no one could come up with a solution and agreed that speed seemed slow. So i decided to experiment and changes my stagger from 2048 to 49,152. My rig has 16gb total and with windows and a bit of wiggle room i settled on 12gb of ram for my stagger size number (im not a expert I hope this is right thou windows task manager shows the program using 13.16gb ram?!?!) As 4096 stagger is 1gb ram i believe. Im hoping this will help me in the long run as i get more drives and I will also try optimizing later on aswell. Plotting has 14 hours left.... 13.2k nonces per minute.... was 16k I guess larger stagger affects plot speed? Thanks and appreiate any info as im new to all this and as far as i know i might of just wasted my time! But If i try now and it helps might save me down the road. And with your input ill learn more!

suddenly my hard drive has 74 gigs free on it?!?!?posted in Help & Support
hey, I ran ccleaner today didn't see the harm in it thou I should have asked here first to see if its safe with plots. anyways, I just noticed my external drive which is 3tb that I thought was full before now has 74gigs free. did I mess something up!?!?! or maybe I had something else on the drive i never noticed. thanks.

RE: What do you advice I do with new drive?posted in Asset Exchange: HowTo's & Tutorials
@keyd0s haha ya good point and thanks that's how i understood the few posts I read on it. but I don't know how high to increase the stagger. i could make it 4096... 8192... ect ect. it is very technical for sure. ive soaked up so much info the last 3 or 4 days I think my heads gonna pop. thanks again!

RE: What do you advice I do with new drive?posted in Asset Exchange: HowTo's & Tutorials
@keyd0s ahhh ok thanks. Could I ask another question while I got ya. when I run gpu plotter and I edit the run file the last number in the sequence, is that stagger size? for instance this is mine
gpuPlotGenerator generate buffer d:\6588432247942370110_11141121_952320_2048
I know the first code is your account id then your starting nonces follwed by the ammount of nonces you want to create. is 2048 good? or should I change it. right now with 1 drive I get 14 mb/s read speed when mining and not sure how to improve it. I guess I should of ran it in direct mode to optimize. 48 seconds seem's a bit long for 3tb. I asked this question before but didn't really come up with a solution. however I added an internal 250gb drive today and my total read speed went up to 24mb/s, I guess more drives you have the total speed increases? thou it went up to 24 mb/s for around 4 seconds thats how long my small drive took it then slowed back down for the 3tb drive. thanks for any advice and sorry for the questions.

What do you advice I do with new drive?posted in Asset Exchange: HowTo's & Tutorials
*So I will admit it... im already addicted to burstcoin mining.... only took 4 days. just went out and grabbed another 3tb drive for $80 cad. this will be my 2nd 3tb drive now for my first drive I just created 1 3tb plot file but been reading a bit and I am a bit confused as to weather I should do the same or make multiple smaller files like 3x 1tb plots. is there any cons or pros verses 1 large plot file or multiple smaller files. thanks!

RE: I need one burst to change from poolposted in Help & Support
having fun yet? your new like me well im on day 4 but only 2 days of mining. hows it going? did ya find any coins yet? I have some from pool but didn't get a payout yet. running 3tb plots just isn't cutting it might have to pick up another 3tb drive or maybe 8tb.

RE: First time running gpu ploter in direct mode, is this right?posted in Help & Support
@kevmachine solved the issue. I had to again do my rewards for the pool as I got the pool server name wrong. I then restarted pc and waited around 20 minutes and it worked fine. I keep forgetting you have to wait a bit before stuff works with burstcoin. thanks.

RE: First time running gpu ploter in direct mode, is this right?posted in Help & Support
and if i run gpu mining it say's warn 4664 unable to get mining info from wallet. the only thing's ive done since before it was working was plot a 250gb drive in the background in direct mode and had to change my pool rewards because it was set to the wrong one because i acidently clicked on a pool name in the drop down list in the wallet.

RE: First time running gpu ploter in direct mode, is this right?posted in Help & Support
@haitch ahh sweet ok thanks. Im having another issue again, seem's im either stupid or just have bad luck. so once you set your pool and rewards, if you acidently click on the drop down list and click another pools name, even if you don't reset your rewards assignment does it mess up the pool you were in? because I couldn't get burst miner to work suddenly. it will open but only shows the top 4 lines with total memory at the bottom and doesn't load anything else. I may have to restart computer or something. maybe it's because im plotting in direct mode it won't let me mine???
