I know it isn't profitable, but if someone has done it, I have some questions to ask you.

issues with freecoinz2day engage tvposted in General Discussion
I talked to @falconCoin and he said it was an outside webite and he had no control over it, I just want to make sure its not something on my end. it seems the points lately never add up, they get stuck. and sometimes the videos freeze too. anyone else experience these issues?

How have you tried to use it? Please be specific
Yesterday I actually got some help on discord in using the gpu plotter. it took a while but once I got it setup, it was actually slower than the cpu! can you explain that one?

@jhip626 maybe you need a OpenCL Driver?!
I'm not sure if this is the right one or it even might be integrated in to Catalist!? I dont own any AMD.....
Intel HD.... integrated GPU works. But for plotting its to slow!-/that link doesnt even work fow windows on the download page

On-board graphicsposted in General Discussion
Can someone explain to me why my cpu with onboard video (which is an amd a10-7850 k) isn't usable for plotting or mining? I mean, I basically have 8 extra cores dedicated to gpu processing, that just don't get used. its kind of frustrating.
thanks

what about usb powered drives? I have one of those, they are usually easy to get. or are they way too slow to be useful?

RE: what to look for in hard drives?posted in General Discussion
I can get 2 1.5 tb external seagates for $40. I suppose if they are only usb2.0 I could take em apart and make them internal. but idk if its worth the trouble.

@jhip626 Cache doesn't really matter for mining, it will help a little with plotting. Basically you're looking for the highest capacity at the lowest price. Rotational speed matters a bit, but more so for unoptimized plots than optimized ones - If you plan on using xplotter or gpuplotgenerator in direct mode, 5400 RPM drives are fine, but for any other plotting method that produces unoptimized plots, you want 7,200 RPM or higher.
If its an external drive will a usb2.0 be much worse than a 3.0?

Close the app, right click the shortcut - go into properties, select run as administrator and select the box that says "Always do this action"... then "Run-away!!"
