RE: Mining profitability - comparisonposted in Mining & Plotting
@bandarfjb :) I know, but it`s not an option right now. I wish I could buy not one more, maybe 5 more. Maybe, in time :) Till than, i will have to do the best I can with what I have right now.

RE: Mining profitability - comparisonposted in Mining & Plotting
@bandarfjb Unfortunately, I can not optimize it, since I don`t have an extra 10 TB hdd. It seams like the only thing I can do, is to delete the plot file and replot the whole hdd in smaller plots, than to optimize every plot separately. It will be time consuming, but well, if it helps, I will consider doing it. It took me 3 days to plot the 10 TB so I am looking to another 3 maybe 4 days of work :).

Mining profitability - comparisonposted in Mining & Plotting
Hello guys. I am mining with an internal 10 TB SATA hdd ( 1 plot, round time 30 sec ) for about a week now and i noticed in the pool that miners with much less plot sizes are mining more efficiently. The miner does not give any errors, everything is working fine on my end and still someone with only 5 TB plot is doing at least 3x as much as I am. How is this possible? I am using jminer. I can not optimize the plot because I don`t have an extra 10 TB hdd. Is there something else I can do to increase my mining efficiency ?
Thx -

I am using jminer. Can you please tell me how can I run two instances?

RE: GPU plotting 10TB ... 3 weeks!? please helpposted in Mining & Plotting
Hello guys. I managed to plot my 10 TB hdd, after 72 hours, but it is done and it is working already :) I had an issue with the miner from inside the wallet, it was not able to see the plot file, but I started it from command line modifying the path for the plot in the jminer, and it seems to be working fine now. For this hdd I am getting around 30 Sec round time, is this ok? I have another 2 TB external HDD which is plotted for a different wallet. How can I run 2 separate mining operations, for two different drives connected to two different wallets on the same computer? Is this possible?

@haitch Thanks a lot guys for all your help.

RE: GPU plotting 10TB ... 3 weeks!? please helpposted in Mining & Plotting
Can you please explain me something. On my current plot file the stagger is set 15232 and in Task manager the wplotgenerator uses 7 GB of RAM. If 1 GB of RAM is 4096 than the memory usage should be 15232/4096=3.71 GB of RAM and not 7. What is wrong with this formula?

RE: GPU plotting 10TB ... 3 weeks!? please helpposted in Mining & Plotting
@haitch Well, I did not knew this, so I changed the GPU plotter to CPU. Everybody learns from own mistakes :) Now, since I started to plot the drive with the CPU plotter and it is working, I think I will leave it to do its job. If something will go wrong, than i will change back to GPU plotter and smaller sizes.

RE: GPU plotting 10TB ... 3 weeks!? please helpposted in Mining & Plotting
@haitch If it will be done in 2 -3 days, it is not a problem. I could not use the gpu plotter, because the speed was very low, at around 1200 nonces/min. Now, I am using the wplotgenerator and it is working with 7258 nonces/min, which is much much better. Not the best, but i think it will do the job. I will wait the 3 days, to see what is happening, and if it will not do it right, than I will start from scratch with smaller size plot files.

RE: GPU plotting 10TB ... 3 weeks!? please helpposted in Mining & Plotting
@luxe ok, thank you. I used the nonce calculator to determine the exact amount for the whole hdd. If I make lets say 5 * 2 TB plots, after the first one is done, I can use it to mine while I am plotting the rest?

@luxe ok, thank you for the advice. Can you please help me to configure it in smaller peaces knowing the system I have and the disk size? It would be huge help. Thx

RE: GPU plotting 10TB ... 3 weeks!? please helpposted in Mining & Plotting
@luxe In another topic I ask this question, and somebody suggested that it is better to plot the drive without splitting it in smaller parts, that is why I started to plot this way. And this is exactly why I asked. Now, i will know what to do next time. Can you please tell me what happens if I stop the plotting process and resume it later? I will have to start all over again, or it will resume from where I left of?

RE: GPU plotting 10TB ... 3 weeks!? please helpposted in Mining & Plotting
Since it is working now much better than before, I think I will leave it as it is and wait 3 days to finish plotting. If I make any changes to the stagger, I will have to start all over again and if it will not work any better, than I will lose 8 hours of plotting, which is not a very good option. Unfortunately, i don`t know what a bottleneck means in this case :)

@luxe no, it is a brend new internal SATA HDD

RE: GPU plotting 10TB ... 3 weeks!? please helpposted in Mining & Plotting
I just started the wplotgenerator, it is much better than with the gpuplotter, I get now 7297 nonces/min with the following conf
wplotgenerator mynrid 0 37653504 15232 8 /async
Is this ok, or there is a better configuration for it? What do you think?
Thank you -
RE: GPU plotting 10TB ... 3 weeks!? please helpposted in Mining & Plotting
I have tried with : 1024, 2048, 4096, 8192 and the max 32768. The maximum speed achieved was 1214 nonces/min.

I have tried with 8192. The same result.

GPU plotting 10TB ... 3 weeks!? please helpposted in Mining & Plotting
Hello again guys. I bought a 10 TB internal HDD for mining, but unfortunately the plotting is not working as I suppose it should. After 8 hours off plotting, the plot file is at 17 GB and it was working with 1115 nonces/min. This is way too slow and it will take forever.
This is my system :
Win 10 64 bit ( fresh install, new drivers, new OpenCL)
16 GB Ram
AMD Fx 8 core processor
ATI Radeon HD 7870 Video card
and the new gpuPlotGenerator-bin-winx64-4.0.2 configuration files:
devices : 0 0 5120 256 32768
makeplots.bat : gpuplotgenerator generate direct G://burst/plots/my nr id_0_35061760_32768
Please tell me what is wrong with this configuration. I calculated the nonces, the stagger nr according to the HDD size and memory. Is something wrong there? Please advice, because I can not do more on my own. Thank you
