@damncourier I using Debian Jessie to for all my dayli task. It is great operating system with typical linux limitation - knowledge of user :).
But back to @ZapbuzZ question - as @daWallet wrote, with Win98 this task forward to fail, but with some light linux (example Debian), you can try it and see, that is profitable (electric energie vs mined BC) or not.
Still you are winner - earn experience with Linux and BC mining :). Good luck!

@ZapbuzZ Linux work on older computer too, no problem with it. Maybe you must play with kernel for good working, but i am not sure.
If i recommend, Creepsky miner have minimal hardware requirements. Just sugestion ;).
It is on you, that is profitable burn energie with this really old hardware. -
RE: MINER CREEPSKY with TARGET DEADLINE - LINUXposted in Mining & Plotting
Many thanks Flegi! I do my best for this miner. Creepsky is good developer and maintain this old uray`s miner. It is by my opinion best miner for linux systems :). Glad help to Creepsky with new features, but only with testing and reporting.
I know, that my free time is limited and hope, that more volunteers should be helpfully for testing and developing ;). -

@damncourier Many thanks for notices.
In "dcct miner" i try all choices, but without success. Next i try to switch pool and again without success.
Another i try uray's miner and it seems, that this is correct combination :). On pool "pool.burstcoin.eu" i can see myself, reward maybe should be too.
Waiting for my first reward and next place a feedback.
Actually i can confirm, that dcct miner with "pool.burstcoin.biz" isnt good idea. I dont know why :(. -
RE: Miner is running correctly (i think), but no reward comeposted in Help & Support
@nixxda When i was on pool "pool.burstcoin.biz", i used correct port 8124, but without success.
But you have right, when i switch to "pool.burstcoin.eu", miner start using wrong port, thanks for notice :). -

Miner is running correctly (i think), but no reward comeposted in Help & Support
Hello all.
I am beginer with this cryptocurencie. Using Linux 64bit.
I download "dcct" tool (plotter / miner), compile and looks working. Created one plog (460GB) on one 500GB SATA HDD.
I am connected to pool "http://pool.burstcoin.biz/" with my account "BURST-VGJL-DWZG-RNJ5-CZ3XG".
But after several days of mining i cannot see my account in pool and dont obtain any reward :(.Runing miner with command:
./mine pool.burstcoin.biz:8124 /home/BurstCoins/plots/
Miner generate:
adavan@debian:~/BurstCoin/mdcct-master$ ./miner.sh
Using pool.burstcoin.biz port 8124
