This proves that bitcoin is still a very dynamic market. When one exchange gets hacked that has nothing to do really with bitcoin as a currency, but a trading website that screwed up, it makes the value plumit. I think it has to do with how the media talks about bitcoin. during the MT. Gox attack back in early 2014, All the headlines said "BITCOIN HACKED". They promote false ideas that hold bitcoins true value back.

Centralized Exchanges will always be very attractive to attack, because they hold huge amounts of BTC and other coins.
Having centralized third parties is against the idea of Bitcoin and other crypto currencies. I'm sorry for people who lost their money - but they new the risk after so many hacks: MtGox, Bitstamp and many others.
Don't have your coins longer than necessary on centralized exchanges. Statistically there are 5 bugs every 1000 lines of code - if it is well written!
There are solutions, .. just search for "decentralized bitcoin exchange".
