Error while mining: "result":"missing Passphrase","requestProcessingTime":0

  • @Blago Hello, it is BURST-GGPX-PP5S-LAGP-CBGCU.

  • Mod

    @Propagandalf reward assignment done right.
    your plots start by 12477725988673239741_... ?
    can you mail to me your last log? blagodarenko@gmail.com

    as I see http://burstcoin.biz/address/12477725988673239741 , you mined at PoolTo.Be w/o problems?

  • @Blago I have sent you the information you required by e-mail. Yes, I was mining at that other pool and it worked, except I seemed to be earning a lot less than normal. Then I changed pool, and also tried setting reward assignment again a second time without success.

  • admin

    @Propagandalf goto a cmd console and do: nslookup pool.burst-team.us
    What does it return? No passphrase is required when pool mining, and I'm wondering if you're having a DNS problem.
    You can also try changing pool.burst-team.us to 216.165.179.45 in the miner.conf

    H.

  • @haitch it returns

    server: resolver1.privateinternetaccess.com
    address: 216.165.xxx.xx (my crossing out)

    Non-authoritative answer:
    Name: pool.burst-team.us
    Address: 216.165.179.45

    I tried turning off my VPN, but that did not help. Also, changing the miner.conf did not help. As I mentioned earlier the OpenCL mining works, but not Blagos miner.

  • Mod

    @Propagandalf you must set "Port": 8124 (not "Port" : "8124", delete quotes)

    @haitch GetMiningInfo works fine

    19:

    need check at server-side wrong port number ("Port": 8125) by default

  • @Blago I tried adjusting the port setting like you said, without luck. Every time I ran the miner again, it reset the miner.conf to "port" : "8124",

    I also tried port 8125, no good.

    Then I uninstalled Burst wallet, and manually removed files from appdata and program files, and reinstalled. I fired up the miner again, but same problem. Then, I tried setting the reward recipient for the third time, and this time I get an error message there too: "errorDescription":"Unknown account", "errorCode": 5

    Is there perhaps a difference between setting the reward recipient through the webwallet app and doing it through the website http://127.0.0.1:8125/rewardassignment.html?

    @Propagandalf problem is quotes.
    you must change "8124" to 8124 (w/o quotes)

    it's my config with wrong defenition of Port number:
    alt text

    it's your fixed config %appdata%\BurstWallet\miner-burst-1.160420\miner.conf (copy/past it):
    {
    "Mode" : "pool",
    "Server" : "pool.burst-team.us",
    "Port" : 8124,

    "UpdaterAddr" : "pool.burst-team.us",
    "UpdaterPort" : 8124,

    "InfoAddr" : "pool.burst-team.us",
    "InfoPort" : 8124,

    "EnableProxy" : false,
    "ProxyPort" : 8126,

    "Paths":["E:\Burst\plots","C:\Burst\plots"],
    "CacheSize" : 100000,
    "ShowMsg" : false,
    "ShowUpdates" : false,

    "Debug" : true,

    "SendBestOnly" : true,
    "TargetDeadline": 4000000,

    "UseFastRcv" : false,
    "SendInterval" : 100,
    "UpdateInterval" : 950,

    "UseLog" : true,
    "ShowWinner" : true,
    "UseBoost" : false,

    "WinSizeX" : 80,
    "WinSizeY" : 60
    }

  • @Blago Thanks for the suggestion. I finally got it to work! Here is the interesting part: If I start mining using daWallet's app the miner produces that same error and overwrites the miner.conf back to the old value with quotes. Instead, if I launch the miner from within %appdata%\BurstWallet\miner-burst-1.160420, it works and nothing is overwritten! So, for the moment, I will keep launching it from there.

    In the config you posted I noticed that you had set 100000 as cache size, where I have set 40000. Is there an advantage to setting it higher?

  • admin

    @Propagandalf @Blago thanks for finding this error. If fixed it. You can download v0.2.5 now.

    My win client (over)writes the parameters for blago's miner for convenience reasons, and in version 0.2.4 I messed it up with the quotation marks.

    Now pool.burstcoin.de works. :)

    @Propagandalf use 40000 or 100000 - it depends on your CPU and reading speed of disk.
    Need to try different values, but multiple by Stagger.
    CacheSize - how much nonces miner reads (and calculate) per once by one thread.

  • Good day everyone, hope theres anybody could help me regarding this errors, Im trying to run a solo mining using AIO wallet
    I've been looking for information on this for a couple of weeks now and the videos posted either touched briefly on solo mining but didn't go into detail on the settings or they just showed how to pool mine. I wanted to try out solo mining too like most others in different forums who were trying to get the setting right, and I too were getting those "missing passphrase" errors as well. So I tired a few settings, changed this and changed that with no avail, all were giving me the same problem. Like most know about the "miner.conf" file, if you mine from the AIO platform, whatever changes you made to the "miner.conf" file will be overwritten and changed to the settings of what you inputted to the "start mining" tab. So this is what I did.

    1. I first opened up the AIO wallet either under Local or Online, it doesn't matter and chose to "start mining" at the bottom of the screen. Where it says to "choose pool" I entered the local host address of "127.0.0.1" and changed the port to 8125.

    2. Next under "change reward assignment" I clicked that and entered my wallet details, both passphrase and my account number. Its all done and I launch the miner. I would get the error "missing passpharase","requestProcessingTime":0 and it would show that DL are found and sent but I would never get a "Confirmed DL."

    3. I was revert to my burstwallet file under "appdata/roaming/burstwallet/ (I haven't tried out other miners yet, so this is the only miner I've used so far) and navigate to the "miner-burst-1.160705 and locate the "miner.conf" file.

    4. I right click on that file (miner.conf) and choose "open with" from the drop down menu and open the file with Notepad, After that open the file to edit it.

    5. Ive seen that the file settings are the same from when I set up the miner in the AIO platform and should have "127.0.0.1" as the UpdaterAddr and the port should be 8125 from when I set that also but the "mode" setting still in "pool"

    6. What I did next was change the settings under "Mode" at the very top from "Pool", to "solo", and that's it, so far I left all the other settings alone, but when I launch the miner it will automatically stop

    7. The last thing I did was to make sure there was a "passphrases.txt" folder located inside the miner folder with my passphrase for my account I found not so I made a "passphrases.txt" file and put my passphrases correctly but when I launch the miner again it will open and automatically stop.

    8. What I did next is edit the "Mode" settings again back from "solo", to "pool", and launch again the miner It will run and never stop automatically but I would get the error "missing passpharase","requestProcessingTime":0 and it would show that DL are found and sent but I would never get a "Confirmed DL." again.

    My question is I did any mistakes to set it up? Anybody could help to set it up properly? Is there a chance that the problem is the blagominer itself? @daWallet and @Blago please help! ! 0_1493430879417_blagoError.jpg 0_1493431048426_blagosettings.jpg
