{"errorDescription":"Unknown account","errorCode":5}

I only have 1 wallet and I'm using the correct phrase, the issue can't be on my side. Other people have the same issue as well. http://forums.burst-team.us/topic/6294/errorcode-5-errordescription-unknown-account/20
I can even upload a video for you if you'd like, to make sure that I'm not copying the phrase incorrectly.
-
Got the error earlier too and was not making any mistake on the passphrase. It finally worked after several minutes of trying. So wait a little I guess and try again and maybe something will get resolved on their server.
-
Actually I'm getting the error right now. I need to change since the pool I'm using is down again.
Only been going for a couple of weeks but this has been very frustrating with pools constantly going down and pages not loading in the burst client and now getting this error when trying to change pools completely preventing me from mining.

I fucking give up, I have these posts every damn day, and everyone insists they're entering their passphrase correctly, until they realize they're not.
@Diskai1 There are two possibilities for how you can get into a different account using the same passphrase. 1) It's not the same passphrase. 2) Your passphrase is so fucking awesome it has disturbed the space/time continuum, and altered the immutable Burstcoin passphrase hash algorithm.
There are no other options.
And since I'm pretty damn sure 2) didn't happen - the damn passphrase you are entering is different from the the one you used to create the account.

@haitch Are you saying the copy and paste on Windows 10 is broken?
-
@petem If you copy the pass phrase when the phrase is not word wrapped, that's a different phrase to when it IS word wrapped. The differences are always very, very subtle, but it is simply not possible for the same pass phrase to generate two different addresses - it is just not possible.
-
@petem I use windows 10 and the copy paste works fine. Windows 10 does have a feature which you can paste (ctrl+shift+V) as plain text. Give that a try.
And haitch is right, Your passphrase is very unique. If it is off by a single space or a character, the system will create a new Burst ID.
So, if you are getting a new burst id, it means you entered your passphrase wrong. It's that simple.
and @haitch, I think it's time to walk away and check on the chili peppers. :)

@socalguy Went for a smoke, inspected the peppers and grabbed a cold beer ...........

Alright I figured out the problem. This should help you with other people with the same problem. Apparently I wasn't signed into the wallet anymore. I re-signed into the online wallet and then didn't get the error. So now you can stop telling people they are copying in the wrong passphrase...
-
Nvm that wasn't it. Went to https://wallet.burst-team.us:8127/rewardassignment.html in my browser got the error and then went to https://wallet.burst-team.us:8125/rewardassignment.html and didn't get the error. Something with the server.
Also I keep getting signed out of the online wallet in the Burst Client even though I checked stay signed in for the session and the site can't be reached right now for https://wallet.burst-team.us:8128/.
-
@petem For the online wallet, use https://wallet.burst-team.us The link will cycle through the online wallets and find one that is still up.
Try http://127.0.0.1:8125/rewardassignment.html to assign yourself to a pool
-
@socalguy Thanks. I'll try to get the local wallet working. I've gotten errors with that also trying to sync it.
Is pool.burstcoin.party your pool? I was using it but can't hit it now.
-
@petem I use this wallet. It's more manual but it's grown on me. But I still use the 0.3.9 client on a laptop.
Yes .party is my little monster. :)
Sorry for the downtime. I'm working on something that will hopefully make it more stable. Stay tuned.. :)
-
@petem the party pool goes through one of my proxies, that is currently being attacked, Working on getting it back up
