Claymore-Dual Miner problems
-
@HiDevin where do you mine? do you dual mine?
-
-
@falconCoin see if you can figure out which coin it's happening on and exclude that coin. Some of my miners really hate the SGminer benchmarks.
@hidevin Most of my rigs are currently mining daggerhashimoto, because it has a higher profit margin than Eth. Fees can be 2-4% depending on your earnings - mine is 2% and I'm earning more than 2% if I was mining an Eth pool. So for me, even with Fees, NiceHash is more profitable than mining the lowest fee Eth pool in existence.
-
@haitch you mine with SGMiner? not claymore's 3rd party miner, that is included in nicehash
-
@haitch if i was using sgMiner instead of Claymore's miner, then the only fee for me would be 1%/ use the -nofee 1 in Claymore's miner, which is probably the same speed as sgMiner
-
@HiDevin No, but when the benchmarks run, it's a default selection - makes a number of my miners reboot. So now I unselect it, and let it just benchmark Claymores. I was trying to say that some of the benchmarks are toxic for some systems - figure out which one and disable it.
-
@haitch oh ok because claymore's miner fee is 2% then nicehash is 2-4% which is why i said 4% fee .-.
-
@HiDevin I'm at the point I don't follow day to day earnings, but switching from chasing the coin of the day/week/month, I got better and more consistent payouts. Even with a bunch of rigs down at the moment :( I'm still clearing $1K/month

below is my claymore config.txt, running on ethOS. Stuff in bold is all you need to dual Eth (or music/ETC/ dagger hashi alg coin) and SiaCoin
-dbg 1
-logfile $HOME/claymore.log
-epool eth-eu1.nanopool.org:9999
-ewal <eth wallet id>
-epsw x
-eworker rig1
-powlim -22-dpool sia-us-east1.nanopool.org:7777
-dwal <siacoin wallet id>
-dcoin sia
-dcri 16

@jmeek82z28 nice thanks!

-dcri 16i pretty much copied what you had exactly, and im finially showing a hashrate, but its slow as hell onw is about 10 mhs and the other is about 100 mhs... where if i mine just siacoin i would get 600mhs

what are the cards on the rig? remember "Dual mine" is .. mine Eth near full capacity and slip an alternate algorithm on the card to use spare cycles. ex. My 4x470 rig should do around 100Mhash/s and can tack on about 1300Mhash in SiaCoin. Sia alone i'm able to produce around 3800. There's flags you can set to choose each coin's "intensity" and algorithm, but its Ether first on Claymore.
