Sorry but im new to this. How long does it take till you see the burst coin in your balance ?

-
@MonkeyEZ You'll see them when the Blockchain download is complete.
-
The contents of your Burst wallet should show up on an online wallet. https://wallet.burst-team.us/
-
@luxe Much appreciated!
Can someone also let me know what port in my firewall needs to be open in order to download the blockchain. Mine never connects to begin the download and I suspect my sophos firewall is to blame.

Hello All!
I am looking forward to starting mining Burstcoins. But I am facing the same problem. Can some one send me one Burstcoin to activate my account?
Thanks a lot.

Couple of coins sent.
@raised2b You shouldn't need to open ports to sync - the wallet will make connections to the well known peers, and then other peers that they know about. The stateful inspection done by the firewall will show that you initiated the connection, so return traffic will be permitted.
-
@haitch Thank you very much!
-
Thanks for the reply, but that doesn't seem to be the case for me. With all of my other crypto wallets I experience the same issue until I add a port that is specific to that coins wallet. For example for BitBay I had to allow port 19914 for SIA port 9981 for Namecoin another port.... etc...
So I'm pretty sure that there's a port I need to open else I'd have connections now and would be syncing.
-
I also need some coins to join a pool. If anyone can send me just a single coin to start that I'd be so thankful:

@Feeer24 Sent you a few.
-
@raised2b To allow other wallet to initiate the contact to your wallet you need to open 8123
-
Thanks, opening that port worked perfectly, I"m now syncing.
One final question, is it possible to change where the blockchain is stored?
-
@raised2b to the best of my knowledge, the DB will always be in the relative directory ./burst_db from where the burst.jar is run from
-
Heya guys,
I set up my first 1TB for burst mining, but can't get any faucet coins to change to a pool, any of you kind people willing to spare me 1-2 to get started? BURST-8KEH-B42S-AWJQ-BARQB would be my wallet. Thanks in advance!
