@haitch The asset for the excess ad revenue has been setup: ASSET ID - 14692463117907261266
As discussed it's going to be 100% of Ad Revenue - 33% for Tax Withholding - $50 for 50% of my hosting cost. Every thing over that goes to the asset.
Even though I haven't been paid by Adsense yet, I'll be putting up the $ amount equivalent to what Google owes me, and distributing that via the asset come Aug 1st. So get in quick !
This initial distribution (based on todays price for BTC and Burst) will be around 370,000 Burst.

@gpedro I suspect with a VPN you'll be able able to run the SurfBar, and see the forum ads.
I'll give it a try later...
-
I'm using chrome and if I can't see the ads I just refresh page and it shows.
-
Folks, I'm looking for feedback on the sidebar ad that's been added. Don't mind, Hate, don't care either way ?
-
Still can't see any ads on the forum, dunno why. I don't have ad blockers running. I'm using Chrome.
Not complaining, I just can't see them.
-
@Leece I'm, guessing geo-location, once the Google has applicable content for you though ......
-
I'm cool with that :)
-
@haitch Don't mind, don't care :)
-
@haitch ok now I have a suggestion. It will be good if there is any way to add
target="_blank"to the ads. When click (or misclick) on banners interrupting badly. --- I guess my English is correct on this--- :)
-
@moonjeina Moonjeina - wouldn't make the ad's un-clickable? Kind of defeats the purpose of having the ads ........
-
@haitch Nope, then _blank parameter makes the window open in "new tab" instead of current tab. So, when click on ads, it will open in new tab and forum tab will stay still.
-
@haitch People, one of the issues I've noticed is that the browsers seem to stop displaying the ads after a while. A refresh fixes it. If you're seeing the ads, and don't object to them, can you please do a refresh if they're not showing. Also, if the ads are about something interesting to you, take a moment and check them them out - don't just randomly open ads - that'll hurt us, but if you're interested in something being advertised, take a look, it helps the ad revenue that feeds the asset. And, I'm not going to be taking a hosting cost out of the asset anymore - asset income will be 100% of ad revenue, less 25% as a tax with-holding. Also, this months asset will include a Bonus payout.
-
Sure I can refresh if ads not shown. :)
Also I know how it works, so I only and only click on an ad if I'm interested in. I never click on it randomly.
My suggestion was for make things easy. I mean instead on "right click on ad --> click "open in new tab" option", just click on it if the _blank parameter added. :)

@moonjeina I'm not an html ninja, so if you can post some example code on how this could be implemented I can look at doing it.
-
sure :)
Lets make a simple example here:
<A HREF="http://www.somewebsite" TARGET="_Blank">some text or image</A>As far as i see forum ads going to "http://adclick.g.doubleclick.net/somethingsomething", so you need to just insert TARGET="_Blank" parameter inside the <A> tag.
-
@moonjeina the code for the ads is:
<div>
<script async src="//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script>
<!-- BurstCoin Biz SkyScraper -->
<ins class="adsbygoogle"
style="display:inline-block;width:160px;height:600px"
data-ad-client="ca-pub-1087055358174103"
data-ad-slot="8051099675"></ins>
<script>
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
</script>
<script async src="//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script>
<!-- BurstCoin Biz SkyScraper -->
<ins class="adsbygoogle"
style="display:inline-block;width:160px;height:600px"
data-ad-client="ca-pub-1087055358174103"
data-ad-slot="7953368075"></ins>
<script>
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
</script>
</div>where/how do I make the edit?
-
oh dang. It using script, so there is no way to make it with my knowledge :/
Well, we gonna continue right click to open in new tab method. :)
Sorry for the trouble.
