ORICO HDD docking 4bay write speed
-
Hi! I bought Orico 4 bay docking (http://www.oricothailand.com/store/orico_th/storage/6648susj3-2-5-3-5-2-disk-usb3-0-esata-w-1-3-clone.html) but I have problem with writing speed.
I used seagate ironwolf and wd red but my maximum writing speed is 20/30. I activated writing cache on disk properties of course.
Windows 10 recognize hdd drives connected to Orico like "Jmicron generic DISKxx SCSI disk device". Someone have this product and fixed it?

@agente ,
are you having a general write speed issue or plotting write speed. The plotter (Xplotter, specifically) calculates a chunk of data and then writes it to the disk. Those writes are in bursts, which sustained should be greater than 20/30 but if the allocated memory to the plotter is low you will be writing small chunks that may be finished before the monitoring software can display the peak. Just a thought. If you mean a sustained write is 20/30 looks like the device is acting like USB 2. Do you have it plugged into a USB 3.0 port?

@rds I'm using Xplotter and I tried with 2gb untill 6gb. Same speed 10/20/30
-
@agente , are you sure you're connected to a usb 3.0 port?
-
@rds yes of course. I tried all "blue" ports
-
@agente , bad docking station.
-
yes I think too... just waiting for someone that have the same orico docking
-
@agente i have this orico .. it works fine through usb3.0
-
sorry you are experiencing issues...i would try to update all your drivers. but if it was working fast before the orico maybe you got a faulty one
-
@darindarin do you have 4 bay ? can you plot 4 drives togheter.. writing speed? And speed with only one drive? Reading speed?
thanks for help :)
