I'm out too, as we don't have verified adress in Paypal in Germany. Also it would be much to much work to get it in any other way, only for one or two drives, as more would be under customs regulations... Also if something is wrong with the drives, it would be crazy to get any replacement xD didn't think about this.

@Shoiji The drives are warrantied until 2020, but I don't know how EU customs and tariffs would work for them.

@haitch It all depends on where in the EU they are going, each country has its own rules. You would need to verify with the customs of each country.

@haitch The WD drives can only be submitted to a warranty case in the region, where they were originally distributed(USA I assume) so it would cost me around 40$ to start the warranty case and 40$ to get the repaired drive... then comes the paperwork and as stated before, I can't get a verified paypal adress, it looks like a greate deal but the risk in loosing all the money I saved, in this deal, is prety high... I'm sorry, but I'm out... or has somebody an idea?

The fees would still be okey, since you pay around 250$ to 300$ for this drives here... and atleast in Germany they are really good in tracing wrong declared packages...

The cheapest deal I found for this drives was aroun 270$... in Germany

@Shoiji Damn that's expensive. If you can come up with a way this deal could work for you and other EU residents, I'm happy to work with you.

I spend todays evening reading through German and EU import laws... just want to share for any EU resident, since most of the rules are EU based, they should be the same(or near the same) everywhere.

1: You need seperate bill with your shipment(else the price will be guessed... based on the EU price)
2: As soon as you buy more than 500€ worth of the same stuff, you could get declared as trader
3: As long as you are buying under150€(lowest limit I found) you only have to pay VAT and no customs fees.
4: It could create suspicion to get the package rerouted by an induvidual(also there are a couple companies who deal with shipping problem for you)

And now the problems I found

1: You can only get an adress confirmation in Greate Britain(in the EU no one cares, as the Paypal accounts are safer :D)
2: If you have a bad drive, you have to pay for 2 times shipping, to get the drives repaired or replaced.
3: If the drives are not shipped, you maybe can't start a PayPal dispute.

I just want to share this with you, as maybe another EU resident already has some expirience and some ideas.

@Shoiji i'm from Dresden. It is a total nightmare to import stuff into Germany. I once ordered a pair of shoes (some adidas) from usa. After 2 Weeks waiting, i had to pay about 28€ for VAT for shoes wich came 99$. Since their were guessed at 140 i might to remeber.

I ordered some days ago at gearbest (about 250€), they ship their stuff to UK which have a flat-rate of 2.x percent - after that they ship it via DHL without any additional fee. Not sute how long this will work, since BREXIT.

oh, I forgot to mention that I don't have paypal either, I just naturally assumed that BURST and/or BTC would function fine for the payment method.

@crowetic As far as I know they don't take Burst/BTC - I'll see what other methods are available. If the orders were going through me, I could do it in Burst/BTC, but they want to do individual accounts.

@rds Yep, I'm just verifying how they want the orders placed - you'll probably be individually emailing my contact, to let them know shipping address, Paypal account name and number of drives.

@haitch Maybe the buyer could just list a private auction? I can checkout as guest on paypal for a private auction, maybe this would work for the other guys too?
