Burst Rig/ GPU coin rig
-
Hi All,
I was thinking about expanding my burst rig and possibly adding some gpus for additonal income.Which of te following two mobos would you advice:
with intel i7 k6850 / k6900
or this one
with two xeons not from the highest shelf:).
Lets say I have $1500 to spend.
Unless you have other mobo/cpu pack with this amount of usb3/sata connectors and 6+ pcie16x

@Ip85 Either board, then fill them up with this: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150788&cm_re=xfx_rx460--14-150-788--Product
For me they're doing around $2.20 - $2.50/day on Nicehash - 50 day ROI, then profit ..........

@haitch What about those two?

Your version is unavailable in Europe.
How many of these I could put in into x99 ws e with I7 k6850?I think it has 40 lanes.

@Ip85 The one I referenced is a single slot card, so can give a really high density and mining power - if you're limited to dual slot cards, look further up the range at the 470's and 480's. I've a dual 470 rig doing US$8.80/day

@haitch All radeons from 470/480 that are good for mining are mostly unavailable or really expensive. What about 5x series...I have heard that they are less energy effecient? Also you probably have some two cpu mobos with xeons if I recall correctly.Maybe you will be able to tell me both are used during the ploting or mining of burst in the terms of threads?I have no exeprience in two cpu systems.

@Ip85 Don't have any of the 5xx Radeons currently, so can't comment on their mining ability.
Have dual and quad Xeon servers - and yes, all cpus/cores/threads are used during mining/plotting.

im just a poor miner getting started pls donate
BURST-XDK7-DKP7-4P6F-6RGPY
seruilsy though i am doing this as an experiment and i am using a raspberry pi, if i plot about 128 gigs about how much would i earn i think like 60 cents a month?
