Low Electricity Cryptocurrency

  • Hey Burst Family! I can happily say that I've found my home in Burst and it's community. I am currently mining with 34 TB and have plays to go to 50TB soon. However, I thought I'd pick the collective brain that is the Burst community with regards to this thought I had.

First off, I love Burst because how how cheap it is for me as an end user. I've been in cryptos for several years now an what always stopped me is was the fact that I couldn't afford the electricity for very long.

What I would like to do is earn other coins to buy Burst. I think this could overall help the coin and put more buy volume on the market. However I can't afford the electricity to mine a coin with my GPU/CPU.

What I want to know is if there are any coins that you are aware of that are similar to burst in the sense that they don't require a lot of electricity? I've considered taking up some staking coins. However my budget is small and, from what I can see, I wouldn't really be earning that much unless I acquired a lot of coin.

If you guys have any suggestions or comments I'd greatly appreciate them!
    Thanks in advance!

  • @Yottaphat Same situation here, high cost of Kw/hr. I searched around but Burst is the best I have found. So stick to Burst, but reinvest 100% of what you make back into Burst mining. As watch it grow, I went from 3TB last Sept to 110TB today with more drives on the way. Burst is still in its infancy, but growing fast.

  • @iKnow0 That was my original thought. I started with 4TB and grew it to 34TB over time and plan on getting to at least 50TB. I was just curious if anyone had an insight behind other low-cost coins. I like the idea of continually buying burst as I think it would help out the coin. Currently I'm lending BTC on polo but my balance is so low that I'd rather just keep compounding the interest for now haha

  • i also started 4 months ago on 2tb.. somehow hit a block and got hooked.. now up to 100 tb between two machines. with plans of expansion BUT i think about other proof of capacity coins besides storj and siacoin .. i currently use storj but they have some issues at the moment and a token sale that may or may not even complete. so i dunno how long im gunna use spare capacity for storj.. i do think other capacity coins will come out eventually as burst is proving its worth

  • Thanks! Perhaps it's most wise to just continue building my burst rig and lending my BTC on polo. The more I research staking coins the more it's looking like I'd need a big investment to make it worth anything
