pool.burst-team.us - error mining - change reward assignment
-
I am getting the following error when mining on pool.burst-team.us:
[ERROR 1004] Your Burst account's reward recipient (32TT-TSAC-HTKW-CC26C) doe
ot match pool's account (6WVW-2WVD-YXE5-EZBHU)
You need change reward assignment and wait 4 blocks (~16 minutes)Not getting this error when mining on other pools.
I have ensured that I changed my reward assignment correctly for this pool. Getting this error on miner multiple PCs. Started about 1 week ago after about a year of mining with no problems.

@sis111 Due to the DoS attacks I moved some of the pools - for some reason you're hitting the wrong address, and going to pool.burstcoin.biz instead of pool.burst-team.us
Open a command prompt as administrator and do: "ipconfig /flushdns", then restart your miner - see if that fixes it.

@haitch Tried flushing DNS, I still get the same error. I have an internal DNS server on one of my networks and I connected a burst miner to that network about a week ago. The DNS server is running Simple DNS Plus. It is only configured to block google advertising sites and then forward all other requests to google dns servers. Could that in some way be causing the burst client to do a dns lookup via the simple dns server and in term carry out multiple dns lookups against burst servers giving the effect of a DOS attack?
-
@sis111 Shouldn't be an issue - what does an "nslookup pool.burst-team.us" return for the DNS address ?
-
@haitch C:\Users\Antony>nslookup pool.burst-team.us
Server: google-public-dns-a.google.com
Address: 8.8.8.8Non-authoritative answer:
Name: pool.burst-team.us
Address: 216.165.179.115
-
@sis111 Thats the correct address - the .biz pool is at 216.165.179.42, so I've no idea how you're hitting that pool. I've made a tweak to the proxy - any better now ?
-
@haitch Still getting the error: 18:10:40 [ 5621215286712233735] sent DL: 561640 6d 12:00:40
[ERROR 1004] Your Burst account's reward recipient (32TT-TSAC-HTKW-CC26C) doe

@sis111 You're now hitting the .EU pool - which again is on a different address. Modified the proxy again, still having issues ?
-
@haitch No further errors so that last modification you did has fixed it, many thanks.
-
@sis111 Thanks for the update - still trying to figure out how different addresses were hitting the wrong pools.
-
@haitch Not sure, maybe the client wallet cache's an IP address somewhere in the windows operating system, like C:\Users\Antony\AppData\Roaming\BurstWallet or similar?
