Local wallet issue
-
When I clicked Local wallet it used to say something like 'will take a while to load' but it never did. So I used 'clean up DB' and downloaded a new blockchain. Now when I click local wallet I get a blank white page.
I'm keen to transition from online to local wallet for security, any help much appreciated. I'm using 0.3.9 client for 1.2.8 wallet on Win10.

@ArthurThePug Is the db fully downloaded? Look towards the bottom edge.
The db will need to be fully downloaded and in sync with the network in order to run a local wallet.
-
@ArthurThePug You are far better off downloading it from here:
http://db.burst-team.us/db.zip
because updating it through the wallet takes aages - couple of days for me and hardly ever finished.
The upper link is a about 3GB download file updated every 24 hours, so will finished within 2-3 hours depending on your Internet Connection.
After unzipping it to the your Database Folder, under Win7/10 normally:
C:Users/YOUR WINDOWS USERNAME/AppData/Roaming/BurstWallet/burst_db
(rename or delete existing file there or overwrite it with the one coming from the .zip you downloaded)
you only have to update the blocks of the last 24 hours which should be finished within a couple of minutes to get you a 100% locally synced blockchain.
hth.

@ArthurThePug do you have some important reason to use aio client? If not, try using just 1.2.8 client itself. Also you can try accessing 127.0.0.1:8125 (or 8124) in a browser to see if its just something in aio not working.

@LithStud wat. ;P
If the "clean up db" function is not helping in the AIO, then there is no java installed (probability 99%) imo.

@daWallet heh well aio is an aditional layer on top so if something doesnt work its harder to find :D also another program running that takes resources :P but again i use my pc for staking wallets so i am big on saving resources :D
And i do believe its possible just to go and start local wallet from whenever it is installed right?
