Simultaneous mining on different machines?
-
Hello Burst Community,
I just had a quick question about mining simultaneously on different machines (PCs). Is it possible to mine for the same burst account one two different machines? i.e: Machine #1 is mining 2TB plot for x wallet and machine #2 is mining 2TB plot for the same wallet (they aren't overlapping). If so, are there any downsides to this kind of mining? i.e: loss in performance or would it be the same as mining on one machine with 4TB?
Thanks! Hopefully I can get an answer :)

@Jay.f given that you are mining on 2 PC's, the mining should be quicker than mining on one PC as each miner has more resources.

@Jay.f as long as they don't overlap, the mining will work fine.

But even though both computers are on the same pool, and using same address, aren't they considered unique identities? how would that work?
For example: PC 1 with 12 tb running at 350 mb/s (22 second read times) with GPU (you actually helped me with that). And I take the other 12tb off this laptop and put it on another PC but it actually gets slower read times 44seconds at like 125 mb/s.. how would that help?

@ProSportsPhotog Both machine with the same account will the same reward recipient.
So you moved from laptop to PC, I am assuming you are using USB 3.0 drives, make sure the USB port on the PC is USB 3.0, (they should be blue in color, if not they are USB 2.0 which is rated with a much slower speed)

Right but that doesn't answer the question of how two would be better than 1 in the case that one is slower. :)

As far as our code is concerned it is seen as one miner. tross pool as many multiple miners with 1 address! I counted 20 sets the other day.
