Hey everyone, I've been having wallet issues, and now I cannot tell if my miner is even on the pool anymore. I updated my wallet after they started getting attacked, and now I have zero balance on the AIO wallet (0.3.9.7) and have to open an internet tab to see my "actual" current balance. So, in addition to that, if I start my miner from the wallet, it starts mining and I get confirms, but the only thing I can see on the pool page, is my historic share activity - nothing current neither fastest, slowest, nor even responding? I'm a little confused, is my machine mining nothing? or can you guys see my machine working on the pool (RossDaddy02 Desktop)?
-
@Rossman01 I just got on the pool and checked. I see you in the pool now and submitting current DL's
-
I think my miner went offline... I'll have to reboot when I get home after work... How annoying -_-

my wallet has been very laggy today and even closed on me once, I had to reboot to get it too load. I have a question, I want to secure my burst coins. are they safer in my wallet, or should I create another wallet to store them? or should I put them up on an exchange site like poloenix? any advice. ive only been mining for 4 days but I ordered some new drives and am putting some extra cash into this so wanna be safe. also where does the wallet get its pricing from for burst? right now its over $16
-
@kevmachine I think the wallet get's it's price from ccex (most likely) or poloniex...
Regarding securing your coins, you should have it in a wallet that only you control, not in a exchange because if the exchange got hacked or something you can lost your coins... Creating a new wallet or using your mining wallet offers you the same protection, the only thing that changes is your way of organize your money.
Just make sure you have a long, strong and secure passphrase and you are good to go!

@gpedro thanks for the tips! I just made a new wallet with 30 word pass and only wrote it down on a paper and didn't save it to computer in anyway, is that pretty safe? and I will also never use clipboard for this wallet. also look at the value of burst! it's nearing $19 usd
