Lag while GPU plotting

I noticed when creating plots with my GPU my computer is fairly unresponsive for couple of seconds, after that it starts working again. But this keeps repeating.
However I am not aware if this is normal (hence this is a resource intensive task).

The plotting software I am using is: GPU Plot Generator (from Cryo).
My GPU:

The "devices" settings I am using: 1 0 1024 3 8192
