Help this newb thanks <3

  • Hi guys, i'm new to burstcoin mining as well as any other mining in general. If I may break any rules please be forgiving.
I'm currently in pool.burstcoin.party with 1.3 TB mining. I have a lot of questions and hope that someone will help me understand a bit clearer

    1. I'm planning to invest 10 x 8TB drives to my rig. But do the 5400RPM mine less than the 7200RPM ones? (ofcourse I am aware that they will plot slower)
    2. After investing such capacity, which pool should I mine (80TB)? Does solo mining really worth it?
    3. My current 1.3 TB consists of 2 HDD drives, Why does only one drive get found/sent/comfirmed DL (as shown in picture) or sometime even worse that there is no found/sent/comfirmed DL at all for the current block.

    Rig:
    AMD ryzen 1600 @3.8Ghz
    8GB ddr4 2400mhz
    GTX 1050TI
1TB + 500GB HDD (optimized by using Xplotter CPU)
I use DMZ to open ports on both my modem and router

I may not be able to reply as I got to sleep since it's 1AM where i live. But please do comment and I will reply asap. Thanks for your time.

  • Hi @SaltySaltPie,

    1. No
    2. I've never done solo mining. IMO pool mining is better. ;)
    3. These days smaller plots (1.8TB) have very long or no confirmed deadlines. This is due to the difficulty increasing every month. Bigger TB's are recommended these days.

  • @SaltySaltPie check to see if the plot files are in the right location. for example both should be in

    g:\burst\plots

    and
    h:\burst\plots
copy the way the one that working is in the next drive.

    miner will pick it up

  • @darindarin unless it is the A or B drive, which need to be added to the config manually.

  • @iKnow0 i always forget about that.. hopefully a and b are allocated to something else so noone uses it
