Perhaps you need to download java or reinstall it.

@smartspender I don't actually know what the problem is here. Perhaps could be that you have a 32 bits system but I am not sure. Are you trying though to plot using the CPU plotter?

yes its because its 32 bit. maybe i should try on my mac. but I couldnt find any help on how to set up there. maybe ill just gave to upgrade my windows PC :(

@smartspender Hi, check your CPU if it is 64 bit compliant. If it is, run windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. Note you will have to do a clean install. You cannot upgrade from 32 to 64 bit. It worked for me

does that mean i need discs? It might be easier for me to just do it on my mac if its possible?

@smartspender First check your cpu with https://www.grc.com/securable.htm or http://www.igorware.com/64bit-checker. If yes I can guide you further. On the mac issue we will have to do some research.
