  • I told investors that my main goal was to grow this asset without ever issuing any new shares. Which has been going fairly decent. Other than the 1tb drive I bought out of my own pocket for the Reinvestment Miner this asset of 10tb has been built off of $40 cash. Yes that is right 9tb came from just $40 because of my ability to wheel and deal...... On to my point
Looks like I'm going to be bringing in a outside investor, aka old dude I work with. He is going to buy a 8tb Western Digital. I'm going to have to do a lot of contemplating and math on how many shares he will get for the 8tb drive. I'm going to make this as fair as possible for him. I own 13k of about 31k shares in circulation and honestly with him investing a $180 HD I feel he should own just as much if not more than me.
His shares will go to a wallet and just sit never to be traded.

All of this is still in the air so to say, 50/50 odds. He is ready and the drive has been ordered. Now its on me to make a decision to bring him on as part of this asset or just host the drive for him at a 5% maintenance fee.

49ersIndex the original name of this asset started and sold about 40k shares to the public when Burst was about 50sats, hence the $40 to 40k shares I came up with. A little over 9k shares being bought back over time leaves a bit over 18k shares in circulation that I do not control.........The math and coming up with a plan is going to be difficult. Open for any input, criticism, whatever, let me hear it.

If we value SM at say 2 Burst then Total Asset is worth 62,000 Burst = about $1000
Your 13,000 Shares are worth 26,000 Burst = about $400

On that basis and given that you will be doing all the Setup, Maintenance & Management I would have thought that giving him 6000 Shares worth 12,000 Burst = about $190 would be very fair?

  • @RichBC your analogy makes perfect sense. However it is going to be very hard for me to justify only giving him 6k shares because I literally have hardly anything monetary wise in this asset. Other than my time and dealing with fools on Craigslist which I'm not going to hold against him because this is what I enjoy doing. Honestly I was thinking he should get at least 15k shares

Maybe it be best if I just host the drive for him and continue on with SM with my intentional plan of not reissuing any shares.

Maybe I could give him about 8k to 10k shares from the asset plus another 2k to 3k of my personal shares.......

Here is all the earnings starting from 6/1 for SM. The equipment being used I cannot justify a value of over $150. I saved most of this stuff from being doomed to the junk yard. From the earnings of this equipment what can we value SM at?

  • @Dillion Yes understood, however I thought I would put up a calculation for you to consider. Your decision on the detail but you must remember to look after the current shareholders as well as any new ones.:-)

Just looking at your second post I do not think that cost is relevant, what matters is the value.

    Rich

  • @Dillion what rich is saying is SM is trading a just under 2 burst per share on the AE , that is the value the community has placed on this asset and what you should use to caculate from reguardless of how much $$ or time you have invested , calculating from that # will be fair for current and future investors

  • @Dillion I am going to agree with RichBC completely here but add just one more thing for consideration regarding how you are pegging a value of SatoshiMountain...don't underestimate the value of your skill and ability of turning 150 USD worth of "junk parts" like you describe and creating shareholder value as you have...I consider your asset to be one of the only ones on the AE worth investing in right now and your skills and openess are the reasons why.

I have a lot of respect for you and thank you for all your hard work.

  • Alright we have a deal. We're trading 6k shares of SM plus 200 shares of SoCalFarm for the 8tb drive. Also going to boost up his asset holdings out of my own pocket to help him achieve a quicker ROI.

  • @Dillion Excellent, now let's get that 8TB Plotted & Mining :-)

  • Somewhat of a delay. My friend is a older guy doesn't even own a computer but has smart phone. That said, he ordered the drive from some company online called P&H Photo I think it was. He did this Wednesday night and last night at work he still hadn't received a shipping notification. So he tried to call them at 3pm last night and they were closed. I say night because we work the night shift and 3pm is our start time..
Evidently it is a Jewish owned company. They close at 2pm every Friday and are closed on Saturdays but their open on Sundays. Tomorrow my friend is going to call and cancel his order then give me the $200 Monday at work to order the drive on Amazon.
Very early this morning moved all the miners back to Falcon Pool because the Party Pool crashed. Look to stay in the Falcon Pool as it always seems to connect perfect but if we don't start hitting some blocks will have to be on the move again. Come on over to the Falcon Pool if your wanting to mine in a smaller pool for a bit and help build up the pool. Currently 45 miners.

Forgot to add..Per request of the new outside investor a small portion of the Satoshis earned from the CPU mining app which run on all the machines will go toward building up a portfolio of coins. I started a section for this on next months spreadsheet.
Tonight our CPU Mining app paid us out 61k sats for the week. 10k went to buying 8.9 DGB for long term holding. The remaining 50k sats bought 82 Burst that were sent to the asset wallet.

Remember the best way to follow this asset will be Google Sheets. If your not familiar with Sheets look in bottom left corner to find the taps to all SM pages. Just added a page for UPDATES. Will also add a transaction page for our Coin Holdings Portfolio.

  • One last update guys before I go quiet for a while. My busiest time of year for summer time side hustle running a lawn service during the day before I go to my full time job in the afternoon.

The online company with the odd ball hours of operation talked my buddy out of canceling his order. It will be here by Saturday so they tell him.
In the meantime I'm upping the ante by half. Friday night I bought a new 4tb drive at WalFart. So were moving up 12tb in total. 6k shares + 200 SoCal for my buddy the outside investor and 3k shares for me.
The new 4tb drive is plotting on machine2 and I am currently contemplating for when it arrives and thinking about placing the 8tb drive on on the reinvestment miner. I feel like in the long run this will be best. That'll give 10tb mining for upgrades like a post 2010 machine is one goal I can think of right off the top of my head and got the brand new 4 bay station to fill up with cheap sata drives. Plus this will allow funds to open the door to experiment with other coin mining.
The reinvestment miner idea has been working good so far. With reinvestment funds, this weekend I was able to order a 4 bay sata docking station, 2 power strips and a $5.99 book on block chain technology. Book will help me better understand block chains and be a better Burst Coin Block Chain asset manager plus we still have $12.50/0.29 LTC leftover.
    That is all good day.
    Follow the Sheets
