CPU vs GPU Plotting - Optimisation

  • You know why don't you start very small say 250mb plot. And start with vneck suggest very low settings , i'm guessing here 0 0 1024 32 1024
and are you sure 0 0 is right too.
    My 2gb 750ti used this
    gpuPlotGenerator.exe 0 0 direct F:\burst\plots
    "insert your numeric address" 14670000 7335000 1000 64 1024
    pause

  • Ok update, I left it running for 6 hours with the suggested configuration 0 0 1024 64 8192 and it completed the actual file in the drive, but progress was still running at 50 nonces/minute. It plotted 1GB fine, but 1TB is a problem. I am not going to be using the GPU plotter anymore as I have literally wasted 2 days with it. I have successfully plotted some smaller drives with the CPU plotter and I will be using that from now on even though it is meant to be far slower with my old CPU.

@BigBear The nonces/min number will be very low to begin with, it's the nonces computed averaged over the entire time the plotter has been running - but the number will continue to increase for the rest of the plotting, right up until the end when you get your true plotting rate.
