Anyone get a miner to work on a synology DSM 416?

Re: Possible to mine on Synology Diskstation (DSM) ?
I saw this topic but it didn't really answer the question.
I am aware that I can mount the drives and mine on a PC but I am trying to reduce the power consumption in the home and since the NAS is always on I figured it would be great to get it to mine directly.
Only problem is I can't figure out how to?
My knowledge around Linux is very limited (read windowz user!) so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Mac.

Synology Diskstation (DSM) ?
it should be possible, you main issue will be the speed of the link to the NAS. My advice would be to upload a small plot to the NAS to see how it performs.

@machasm I know Synology boxes do not support virtualization. But they do have dual LAN ports for faster access.
You will need to have additional PC, mount the shared Synology drives and mine.
Tip: try to increase JumboFrames on PC, Synology Box and the Switch for faster access (if any of the mentioned does not support it, do not do it).
