BEHOLD pool.ccminer.net:8080 the next ninja pool! same shit different name! Love them 24 hr deadline great for the growth of Burst!
Wait some more what I said will come true lol
-
@tross don't get why all the pools can't be at unlimited DLs though
-
@HiDevin I cant either but there are other people that think segregation is the answer.

In theory you want to separate pools into max users. That way one pool diesbt control the entire network.

@manfromafar How the heck you come up with that? Dropping the deadline target aint going to make 1 pool take over the entire network. The more miners you have the more they have to share. It would get to the point they will go somewhere else where they earn more. Ok then you tell me what good is a 24hr deadline? What does it achieve?

When did I start talking about DL's? I was only talking about separating miners.
Example I run a pool that has 20PB of mining power and win 90% of the blocks on the network.
Whos going to start mining on another pool. Thus centralizing the network and making the giant pools node the master node.

start at unlimited deadline. when you start geting thousands of miners submiting enough deadlines that its causing the pool to lagg and not keep up then shorten the target deadline to ease up on the pool, that should be the only reason to have smaller target deadlines.... anything else is just ensuring that only people with X TB's are able to mine on your pool and be sucessfull .

Because the pools have to verify all submitted nonces. The longer the accepted deadlines by the pool, the more submitted nonces, the more work the pool has to do, the higher likelihood that a winning nonce won't get processed before another almost as good nonce wins. By restricting the accepted DL you control how much work the pool has to do.
And realistically, the longest winning DL I've seen was around 48 minutes - why accept 2,3 or more DAY DL's when they have no realistic chance of winning ?

@haitch probably because only having a 1-3 day deadline means smaller to midsize miners lose out on the burst they get.
ive found a month is perfect and this is on a uray pool running with 400 miners over 3-4pb and i have no issues (albeit heavily modified by me).
you should see burst mining club atm. they are getting a metric shit-ton on non confirmed deadlines from what i hear from users on discord and that pool has a max deadline of 432000 compared to my pool 2592000.
compared my pool to burst.ninja and my pool even uses less resource lol

My pool uses even less resources because I can't get it to run, :)
Edit: It's running now with one miner, testing it out. Much thanks to @Lexicon , @tross , and @crk .

@Lexicon I can vouch for that you should see my vps its hardly working lol
