@PingOfd3ath Testnet is suppose to be used for this purpose...just saying.
-
Where are the block rewards from Ninja and Mining Club being siphoned too?
-
If you could find the original post announcing it, please share it would be appreciated.
And are you getting your info directly from the folks doing this...or is it your interpretation?
-
@RichBC yes they dont, i thought i had it handled but i guess when doing some changes forgot to put it back in. No worries once i get from work i will update the script ;) and it will be back in nice whole number format.

Exactly. To find the problem there need to be tests done but not with other peoples money. @Lexicon a testnet with several pools using your code and a strong spam attack would be appreciated.
If Burst.ninja and Burstmining.club are really using the same wallet as a "fallback" during these kind of spam floods we are talking about a 51% attack.

@RichBC "The right to speak without censorship or restraint by the government. Freedom of speech is protected by the First Amendment to the Constitution. (See clear and present danger.)" freedom of speech is not against a person or group but the government. i have no problem with you trying to dis BN but try to get facts right please. The only reason im commenting is you have no idea how much of a peeve this is for me personally "fuck you stop stepping on my freedom of speech" "well i didnt know i was the government" "what?" like fr m8
OK so I used freedom of speech in the wrong context, and should have said something more like this is an open Forum and that I should be allowed to express an opinion.
However don't have a go at me about it.... Go and post you complaint and frustration over on the Nation Forum and see what response you get there?

the rain is so that this cant be done in the future as a nonstop way to down the entire burst community by some kid thinking hes god.
I don't have a dog in this fight, but that right there is funny! :)
I'm sure your referring to some god like kid in the future...Seriously though it is kind of fkd up a guy cant go to sleep without worrying about the $000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 coin mining getting fkd up by some overly helpful kid !
But yet the 50.00 GPU coin mining just purrs right along.
Which miner would you choose?If we give the kid an Ethereum coin to fondle, will he shut the fk up so we can sleep?

I can't understand why the people are not moving their miners away form ninja pool and mining club?
it is like they are helping to perpetrate this SPAM/ATTACK...
-
@ccminer simple, i need to pay for my mining investment. I will go to whichever pool is working. The SPAM is a symptom, the core issue is that the network needs to be able to deal with large volumes of transactions with out forking. Until the core issue is addressed we can expect more of the same.
-
@iKnow0 The large numbers of transactions in this period are just from the SPAM without it the network worked fine with the organic numbers of transactions. The developers could have enough time to address the eventual natural increase of transactions and work with calm on it.
Like this it is a simple 51% attack where 2 pools mining all the blocks and many people will simply leave this coin for a more stable one

We are looking into it. I just want to say that i can be even the ninja pool code (which would be ironic), the core wallet blockchain processing or something completely different. It can also be multiple reasons at once.
My best bet is the ninja pool code that got never updated since release.
What we know is that pool owners need to have 2 GB of RAM reserved just for the wallet instance in case of this massive spam.
-
@daWallet have you been able to replicate the issue on a testnet? I would be willing to offer my miner for a week on a test net if it would help to track down the issue.
-
@iKnow0 testnet is just been setup i think so it will take some time to organize before launching spam onto it.
-
@LithStud positive news :-)
-
@LithStud keep us updated
-
@Dillion lol
-
i like rains as long as it doesn't f8ck up the wallets heheheheehheeh
-
Well there is a Forked Network and there is a F*cked Network and a few moments ago without exception every Pool, including the mighty ninja, was showing Forked....
I appreciate that changes to the code, be it Wallet and or Pool need to be made, but do we have to self destruct while working out what changes need to be made?
