How long did you think I can plot a SMR drive 8 tb?

@HiDevin Depends on your hardware, but even in the best scenario it could take well over a week to fill the drive. Usually better to write plots to a PMR drive and then copy them over to the SMR drive. Make sure disk write caching is on too.

@HiDevin Don't do that, GPU plotter in direct mode or XPlotter ... makes no difference, as drive write speed will limit you to a few mb per sec. Do it like @sevencardz said ... plot to a PMR e.g. 2TB or 4TB and copy/optimize over the files to SMR. Much faster than directly plotting a optimized file on SMR.
