Discussion about the new trend to merge Assets

  • What you think about this new phenomena of Asset Issuers merging their Assets together?

Users have to be careful that mergers are no hidden capital increase through the backdoor. For example more shares are available in total. That would dilute value of the better running Asset significantely.

Also merging bad assets with good ones reminds me what banks did before the financial crisis. This is toxic in the long term and dilutes value, too.

It is unprofessional to merge a "Pool rewards asset" with a shitcoin staking asset in my opinion. Investors haven't asked for that kind of mix in the first place.

  • @cervantes , in a way what you say makes sense

BUT, you need to read crow's ann very carefully. the more you analyze it, the more it makes sense.

i also merged all my stuff into 402, and they were all doing great, but the merger allowed me to create a diversified monster.

having multiple revenue streams in a merger is often a good thing. the only way this would be a financial crisis scenario is if scammy assets were crammed together in a pack. great reference btw! hats off to you on that one!

crow's shitcoin staking asset is also backed by mining, remember that. and if that fails, it's backed by even more :)
you know i'm not afraid to bash someone if they do wrong, and i don't care if it's crow or not, but in this case i must side with crow because this decision has been debated with a lot of people who know what they're doing. investors don't always get a say in what happens to an asset, because they often don't understand all that is going down. When i merged, i asked for opinions, but in the end it was my decision to make and if investors didn't like it, i offered them a way out.

long story short, i see your point and i respect it. i just hope you see mine on THIS PARTICULAR MATTER/MERGER that crow is making

  • Where is crow ann?

  • @kmaxkmax , BN dude

  • @nameless I don't see a post about the merger

Trends in crypto change a lot. So, it's ok if the asset changes with the times. As long as the owner puts the asset holders first, keeps up with the annual ROI, then they can change it as they need. When I buy assets I'm also fully aware that it is a risk and reward scenario.

On the other hand, if you don't like an asset any longer, you don't have to keep it. There are many different types of assets to pick from and some have been around for a long time. Do your research before buying assets. btw, 402 asset is a good one. ;)

Please also keep in mind that putting all your eggs in one basket is a very bad idea. I hope everyone diversifies their asset portfolio. If you didn't, I feel bad for you son, I got 99 assets, but all my bursts isn't in just one.

Lastly, have a healthy amount of Burst liquidity in your wallet. You never know when you need to move on something.

  • If I understand it well, @cervantes is not criticizing all those who make mergers but we must be alert to if the mergers are made for the right reasons.

If they are done because it will be better for everyone, I do not think anyone is against it, it is another thing that is done with bad intentions or that the only beneficiary is the one that fuses the asset.

Personally for me it would be more correct if an asset does not work cancel it by repurchasing the shares that make rare mergers
