DL and how to confirm them?
-
Hello,
I am just a 3 days old in burst mining and have no idea what deadlines are and how to confirm them. Is there a tutorial on it?
Please help !

@jolkajolka A deadline is what your miner generates from your plot files for each block - the deadline it generates is when this plot would win this block, if no other miner generates a better block. Say you find a 5 minute deadline, you'll win that block 5 minutes after it started, as long as in that time no one else gets a deadline less than 5 minutes.

@haitch
so I don't have to do anything to confirm?
-
@jolkajolka No, your miner does all the work.

@haitch
Thank you!
How long usually it takes before I see any earnings in my account?
-
@jolkajolka It depends on the pool, but generally you'll get paid after 24 hours or when your balance exceeds 300 Burst.

Thank you !

one more question
If I turn off miner for couple of hours and start it again,will I loose all the blocks that were mined before?
The reason I ask is, mining process is slowing my computer badly and I still need to use it for other things.
Or if I use external drive instead, would that take care of the problem of speed?

@jolkajolka It depends on how long you shut down for. If it's less than 50 blocks you'll continue to earn based on your historic share, after 50 blocks you'll be aged out and stop earning. One thing you can do to keep your system more responsive is to limit the number of CPU cores the miner can use. Open Task Manager, goto the Details tab, locate the miner, right click and select "Set Affinity - then unselect 1 or more cores.
