Burst Blockchain DDL - Updated Regular every 24h (Zipped)

@daWallet Yes my passphrase is 30 characters long but their was obviously some sort of glitch somewhere. I pasted it and hit enter and I ended up in the wrong account. I'm not trying to complain about things just letting your team know my experience with the wallet set up. This link http://cryptomining-blog.com/tag/burst-wallet/ basically sums up my experience. I understand that this is new technology but setting up a wallet account should be in my opinion straight forward. I'm glad wallet is up and running thanks to your info on the forums but now there are no tabs at the bottom to plot drive or start mining. Do I need to reinstall again or is there another file I can download? Also where do I find the instruction videos?

@Cryptogotti Is your passphrase longer than 30 characters long? It should be. With a long passphrase it is statistically 'impossible' to find another account l like you are describing.
This is new technology and new software - nobody said it's going to be easy. It's important to read carefully and watch the instruction videos. It was never so good documented like today.
Will some kind of 2FA security be an option in the future to prevent falling victim to (unlikely) statistics?
-
@Propagandalf It is not necessary. A passphrase of 30 (only numeric) characters can't be bruteforced in 87 quadrillion years with 400.000 tries per second. You can trust mathematics.
@Cryptogotti We got 800 new wallets the last 2 weeks and around 170 new miners on burst-team pool. Considering this, the number of users needing help is quite low and we are helping them here in this forum. Please open a new topic, because this one is about the direct download of the Blockchain.
You can find the videos here: https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/165/videos-step-by-step-video-guides-how-to-mine-burstcoins

I have tried to dl this file 3x's both times I get an error saying that the archive is corrupt.
I have also tried to dl the file from: https://cloud.crowetic.com/s/6anamQ3PVfaFxlO and get the same results. 2.4 G bandwidth wasted (sorry but I'm on Wireless Internet). Is there something I'm missing? I tried this method because it looks like going the regular route will take my laptop days to dl the initial blockchain.
Please assist and/or advise.
Have a magnificent day on PURPOSE!

-
@Ericsson2020 Try downloading again, the wallet corrupted blowing up the process that builds the zip. I've refreshed it with a non corrupt wallet db and it should be good to go.

-
@LostBoy Yes, should be.
-
FYI: https://db.burst-team.us is redirecting to https://db.burst-team.us/db.zip which shows 404.
Maybe someone can fix it? :)

@typh0n - thanks for the heads up, un-broken version now available.

@haitch @daWallet Is this normal? I downloaded and runed the run.bat file in the new wallet release and then put the blockchain in db folder on appdata and when i opened the wallet this appened and i closed the Wallet process in task manager but this still at 100% non stop:
I'm doing an upload to google drive and that explain the 8,6Mb that are being sended...
This happened before with me but i've thinked it was the Windows bugs so i googled it and the problem is being solved but this time it's not the same i can feel it... because windows is responding fast in apps that are already opened.
So my question is:
Are you guys trying this in small machines too, or is just my PC that goes to 100% when is finish syncronization with the blockchain(i think...)?
Maybe is just my PC that needs an upgrade... If so sorry for this will?!
-
@gpedro Check out what is running in "Detalhes" with 100% and kill it. ;)
Probably run.bat is restarting the wallet over and over again... that's why the client uses run_java_autodetect.bat actually. If you want to shut down the process you have to kill "cmd"-process or similar (black icon) first and then the java process.
-
@daWallet i killed 3 processes of Java Runtime and one cmd.exe and all CPU and RAM usage goes down... I opened the wallet and in the online version it has NRS 1.2.6 and the local says to wait the 10 minutes, usually it's 20-25 so i will wait to see. But BURST software usually with me always have this things! Is it just because its in development, is something with my PC or it happens a lot of times?
P.S.: I'm not complaining but i think that a lot of people has even worst hardware than myself and this things could be a problem... Even worst i think when you are working with androids...
-
@gpedro This is the wrong thread for it. We're really off topic now. I recommend you to check out this video:
to run the original (local) wallet.
-
@daWallet ok i understand now how the local wallet runs... xD Sorry for the off-topic... i've done what Risky said in the video and all goes well...
