This lottery is now known in the SteemIt community too! Promotion abroad, it does two things I love.
- More people learn about Burst, then bring in their other coins and get burst, more strength to the market cap, true value.
- Bigger jackpots, big wins! You could win 74K+ Burst for 50, talk about a multiplier!

time running out to enter this weeks drawing...1 ticket is only 50 burst
jackpot at 133k burst (~$1500 USD)
if I win the proceeds will go back into the next drawing
-
about 6 hours left...get those last minute entries in!!!
-
@Lexicon I would like to suggest adding number of entries in current round, and % chance of winning.
Edit - Also are there plans for a dynamic ticket price as the price of BURST changes? Say 1 BURST goes to $1USD...not many people would want to buy a ticket. As it is right now, it's about $0.50USD.
-
Congrats to BURST-KKZA-XK7H-8YZ5-BKR87 for winning the lotto!!

not currently the lottery works off the chain via an AT and they cannot be modified once they are set up. if it gets to that price then this AT will still run for those who want to enter at the higher rate. and we can set up a smaller one for when this happens.
that said however if burst does go to 1usd the asset exchange is going to have a problem as it costs 1000 burst to issue an asset. that would mean an asset issue would cost 1000$.
it also means that all transactions cost $1 to send. meaning when assets payout to 200 shareholders 200$ would get wasted as tx fees
also the AT consumes burst as it runs. each step in the code it uses between 1 and 10 burst depending on the length. so if i lowered the burst the reward would be a lot lower as most of the lottery funds would go out as AT fees
at our current state we aint no where near ready for burst to become $1 per coin.
that said ill look at adding the number of entries and the % chance of winning when i get some time :)

@Lexicon Thank you for your reply. All of those thoughts had crossed my mind when I made that post. Everything would be extremely expensive, and the only people able to do most things would be the ones that rode the price up, or rich people that bought in.
-
@Lexicon I asked some time ago to @daWallet in a post somewhere around here if it would be possible to change the fees for smaller amounts of Burst if the price got too high, and he replyed with a yes... I think he mentioned it would require a soft fork but I am not sure. Regarding to the fees of the smart contracts I am not sure if this is possible too but if it isn't smart contracts will turn to become pretty expensive when we get there?!
