Why haitch verified Kids for issuing assets? or its any misunderstanding going on!!

  • @haitch Just to take a different, short term, angle on this. What is now going to be done about Energizer, Helium and any other "Under Age" Assets that get exposed resulting in dumping of shares and trashing of the share price?

@haitch I think the minimum you should do is to contact them to find out their plans, perhaps an orderly wind up of the Asset with a buyback of shares?

Also worth thinking about is if one of them does a runner what are you going to with the Identity Information you have? If the answer is nothing because they are a minor then I think that answers the question on allowing promotion of an Asset from a Minor.

  • I lived in the state of Nevada before I came to Germany. There are underage laws for a reason. Why you guys are picking at Lexicon's post is beyond me cause this is the view of the majority. I wont say every kid cant handle assets Hell there are adults that cant either but thats another subject. I think most kids need to grow up before they deal with other peoples money or gamble. There are laws in every country covering that.

  • I think since we are on burst-team.us it would be better to put the age on 21! To avoid any yet unknown issues right from the start! Or is that just for drinking?? (never been to the US)

@Lexicon that's not poor! just different and maybe a little strange to us! However, it does not matter that much because the big big majority will have their age on an ID. Otherwise they will have to come up with an document which states their age.

  • Yes they should not be allowed to gamble, but that does not mean they shouldnt be allowed to release an asset. The community SHOULD be notified if they are underage, and the same community should be open to helping kids learn, and grow in burst. Eventually they will be the ones keeping it running while the original burst project team is in nursing homes lol

  • @Lexicon I mean my ID has my date of birth yes but it's saved in the chip, not phisically written, and tobacco machines commonly have a card reader in there...

Although as i said before i agree that if you are verified then you should have your age verified aswell, and i think a minor should be able to open an asset, although it should say in the Asset Thread his/her age so investors can evaluate their risk!

EDIT: i just confirmed and afterall my ID card says my birth date yes, i just confused it with my address wich is stored in the chip... But i know for a fact that a person with a international visa ID has not their birth date in my country...

  • @nixxda sorry i meant poor as in im shocked that a country could have no age on the majority of the identity cards they give out. due to the fact i didnt understand how this protects children in that country from hazards such as underage smoking and drinking. it wasnt meant in the way it was probably read.

  • Let's put this to a vote. :)

Should assets have more vetting and verification before being posted on the forums?

  • Ok, so to hopefully sum this up and perhaps close this thread we all agree that :

    1. From now on, we NEED to be informed if an issuer is under 21/18 (that age thinf i'm not sure how to solve)
    2. Once the community is informed, they are to be allowed to launch assets because indeed it can happen that they might actually come up with gold
    3. EVERY INVESTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR ACTION ONCE INFORMED FULLY !!!!

i hope we all agree on these points and move on. the past 4 hours of this debate have led to the same 3 points i made anyway.

  • @Lexicon said in Why haitch verified Kids for issuing assets? or its any misunderstanding going on!!:

@dvndr007 do you or anyone else in this thread have a problem with anything ive posted? or share the same opinion. id like to know. cause right now it feels like im being targeted simply for being affiliated with burstnation. i only came here to post about my asset div's and place my opinion on this. i wasnt expecting this

Thankyou for your time you give this thread you are most welcome to post anything you feel right Thankyou!!

  • @Lexicon As i said in fact my ID card says the birth date in there, i mystaken myself with the address (wich is only stored in the chip) but an international ID card has not the age in there and i am looking at one right now...

@nixxda i think 21 is just for drinking, but for driving a car is 16 so i am not really sure what is the minor age in US tbh

@nameless i totally agree with that and i think it should be 18 yo however i am confortable with 21 too ;D

Maybe I did not explain myself well in English and how I know Spanish, I answer in Spanish. As I said I do not want you to think that I am attacking you that I think what I think of all the casinos, whether of burst, bitcoin, doge etc in none ask that the age be credited, that no one cares about where their Coins and in the real casinos if you let someone underage pass and you get the police at least the casino you get a penalty and they will not look if it looks like they have more or not, at least here in Spain.

As for defending @haitch is not wrong I do not know anything and I do not defend him in any case to the community and in any case I would be in my right to do it, at least I do it thinking that it is What is correct and not like others who do it by making them earn money, but of course they will tell you as administrator of the other forum.
That disappoints the truth, I at least do not defend a swindler and I have nothing more to say.

    +1
(yeah, keep those little bastards digging!-) (sorry for being inappropriate in an worldwide view)

quick research says that the majority of country's has an "legal age" of 18. But 21 would cover the whole world! And, would it really matter that much?!

  • @nameless id say that a line that states someone under the age needs a parents and guardians permission as well.

this age could be 16 or lower. or we could just go with the above that it has to be 18 or 21 or lower.

i wouldn't want someone coming in. setting up an asset only for there dad or mom to tell them they shouldn't be doing it and removing there internet, computer and equipment. similar to what @RichBC added

  • @nixxda just googled about it too... This is what google says:

"What is the minimum age to start a business?
There is no minimum age for starting a business. However, you need to be at least 18 years old to sign contracts or legal documents. If you are under 18 and starting a business, you may need someone who is over 18 to sign legal documents on your behalf."

  • @Lexicon 16 or under with the parents verified does not work well in an simple "yes" or "no" question! unfortunately....

@all in this thread!-) would something like this vote https://goo.gl/5xkw7s work?? my English is a little bumpy... This is an draft! runtime 1 Week I'd say!

  • @nixxda granted its not an easy yes or no but you cant let kids go around doing things without there parents permission. especially when it involves thousands of $ and could anger a community of investors or cause problems down the line.

something along the lines of there parents having to dox them selves as well as the kid would suffice. and i remember in the past we have done this before i just dont know if and why it wasnt stuck to.

this would be the moral thing to do. and respect any would be parents wish's

  • @Lexicon But as an "Stamp" to inform Investors, a "minor" or "adult"(or just nothing) would be enough, right?
Or are you thinking "minor with double verification" or similar as well?
Sounds kind of nice seeing it here now! But will it be to complicated??

  • @nixxda minor with double verification would be moist. so we could say a minor has been verified. but we could also get minors who have their parents doxed as (minor w/ adult)

  • @Lexicon said in Why haitch verified Kids for issuing assets? or its any misunderstanding going on!!:

    (minor w/ adult

updated https://goo.gl/5xkw7s! but I'm leaving it a "single answer poll"!
pleas tell me if my English makes sense!-)

@haitch are you still willing to do this with an addition of having an parent verified as well?

  • Uuggh. Well I'm not gonna try and justify my personal opinions on this. Just putting it out there that I'm holding off any new asset investments, and dumping some of my existing ones because of this news.
