Thanks Blago, i started off using a previous version of that wallet and it said it was not compatible with my browser, i thought i could use the online one instead. I have just opened the port which may have been causing that error.

and check Java x64

Thanks so much for the advice Blago and Haitch, i ow have the wallet up and running, i was just wondering if i needed to wait for the wallet sync to complete before starting to mine?
