Keep your system time in sync please!
-
On running a wallet, the time of your system needs to be in sync ... tools like www.timesynctool.com can be used for that. Thanks.

Before you do anything, sync your clock. Burst uses your computer clock's time, and having the time off too much could cause you to reject legit blocks, or miss out on blocks you could have mined. On linux "sudo ntpd -gq", on windows go to change date/time, and go to internet time and tell it to sync with a time server.Find time server in your region:

I use dimension4 for my home computer when the pool ran on it and ntp program on my linux vps.
-
@luxe Could Burst be changed to use an internet time server? Much more reliable and less likely to go out of sync.
-
When I launch the qora wallet it sync's the time when loading...have you seen it and can it work for us
-
A time server can go down ... all wallets using same time server is that still decentralized?! i'm not sure whats the better solution, i just wanted to remind us all (mainly solo miners and pool owners) ... that sync time is important!
-
Actually everyone using a different time program would be good. Both time programs I use have ntp but use different servers. Burstcoin wallets have trusted peers which should keep us sync provided everyone had some kind of time manager.
-
@tross In the tool i mentioned above (for win) you can configure the servers yourself.
-
@luxe mine as well just am lazy and use defaults
edited. I will look at yours might like it better thanks for posting!

@nixxda not for me

@Energy now I see!-) must have been down for a moment there.
-
@luxe Checked mine - all in sync via NTP

Windows 10 Registry hack to add your ntp server of your choice. Might be wise to add one closest to your location. Scroll down to the section: Registry key... HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\DateTime\Servers to set a custom NTP server. Oh BTW always back up the registry before editing.
