Not Closing Shop... pool.burstcoin.party:8081
-
After a lot of feedback from others I will not be closing the pool. I will be increasing the pool fee to 2%.
Hey everyone,
First, thank you to everyone that has used my pool at http://pool.burstcoin.party:8081/ and has made money doing it. I've always taken pride in knowing that I was able to give the community a low fee option for mining on the pools.
So, it is with heavy heart and sad scream that I official give notice to the community that I will be shutting down pool.burstcoin.party:8081 this coming Friday, February 24, 2017, at around 9:00 PM PST.
It has been a wild ride and I loved every minute of it. My initial reason to create the pool was to give back to the community and create a nest egg for future projects. I really hoped the pool would create enough coins, so I can fund faucets and other things. Well, that never happened and I don't see it happening soon. :(
There are currently 32 deferred payments. My hope is by Friday, they all clear and I can close the pool without issue. If they don't, I will do my best to keep the pool up until they do clear.
Oh and for the record,
I've never deleted deferred payments. I am not planning on deleting deferred payments. I don't scam. That is just not me in real life or online.I will still be on this site and be engaging everyone when I can. It just will not be in a pool owner capacity. I will be focusing on my other love which is marketing, graphics, and other projects. I do plan to reopen the pool, but for now, I think I'm better to be utilized with doing social media and graphic type stuff for Bursts and other coins.

Your asset will still be running though, correct?
-
@socal has the asset. https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/2984/ann-socalsfarm-mining-asset-50-investor-insurance
I do not have an asset.

My bad - Quick glance and didn't pay attention fully, just saw the "Socal" and replied. Thank you.
-
Thanks for providing a service to the community! :)
-
Sorry to hear you are closing your pool and also sorry for causing confusion with our names lol

Bumpidy bumpidy boo.

Thank you
-
man, so sad, i remember being one of the first miners there :( sad to see it go.
-
Folks are still signing up. It's making me rethink this...
and faucet.burstcoin.info sent me burst?? wut?!
-
@socalguy dont do it man! really like this pool!
-
@socalguy Also why not raise the fee to 2% if you cant cover costs or whatever. most pools are 2% anyway and i for one would gladly pay that little extra if it ment keeping the pool running.
-
Don't shut it down at least hand it over to someone such as haitch or someone
-
@mathew The recent network problems have been causing pain for pool owners. We're paying out blocks that our pools didn't mine. We mine orphan blocks, the pools won't payout until the pool gets funds, or the rewards are deleted - take a look at Ninja, it can't payout for the last 6 hours because it owes more than it has. My pools payout orphan blocks, when realistic, it's cost me 250K Burst in the past week. I'm not inclined to take responsibility for additional pools at the moment.

@haitch i hear running my local wallet will help with the network issues. is this true?
-
@impulse I don't currently know for sure.
-
Me thinks a Testnet might be in order?
-
@vprf That a question for the developers - I just run stuff that uses the chain
-
@socalguy oh no mate... i remember me being one of the first peeing in that pool hahahaha
Hope you don't close it but if you have to do it due to the reasons @haitch mentioned i totally understand... I'm really pissed about those rains and about ninja and club pools are running in the same wallet, IMO that is the cause of this flaw and have been exploited every day by the folks at BurstNation... Like said before by many, one thing is to discover a flaw and the other is taking advantage of that flaw, even worst if who is doing this belongs to the Development Team of Burst! For that there is simply no excuse...!
