pool.burst-team.us payout confusion
-
@iKnow0 Yep. I did put a note at the bottom saying "Let me know if my assumptions are incorrect"
Where can I find the block fee for that block? Is it spread across all reward recipients?
-
@iKnow0 If it is spread across all recipients that would be something like 5% of 2164? Would that be the correct assumption of a block fee? That would be around 108.2 BURST across the winning pool payout recipients.

-
@BurstMiner1
Current 2.8743792
Historic 16.2881988is what i calculated
-
@BurstMiner1 what was your deferred payment before and after the block payment
-
@iKnow0 So "Transaction Fees" are the block fees? 76 Burst?
2146 / 76 = 28.23684210526316
So the fees should account for less than the 5% difference I have above.
-
@iKnow0 The deferred was 2 BURST before payment, and 4 afterwards. I can't get any decimal places on that.
-
@BurstMiner1
yes 76
so 2146+76 = 2222 (total payment received by pool for the block)2222 *.98 = 2177.56 (less the pool fee of 2%)
2177.56 * .6 = 1306.536 (total pool current share percentage)
2177.56 * .4 = 871.024 (total pool historic percentage)
1306.536 * 0.0022 = 2.8743792 (your share of the total current share percentage)
871.024 * 0.0187 = 16.2881488 (your share of the total historic share percentage)
so you should have got 2.8743792+16.2881488 = 19.162528
after four blocks
this is my understanding, if this is incorrect please let me know
for block #331119

@iKnow0 Hang on, is this for the block 331119? Or have you jumped to help with my query on 331148?

for block #331119So you are saying I should have got 19.162528 BURST on block 331119? That's interesting. @haitch has something much lower and my screenshots would also disagree with that.
-
@BurstMiner1 this is the way i understand it works, i could be mistaken

for block #331119I think you messed up your decimal places.
@haitch has this query 193734903
I assume you mean 19162528xThe x is a decimal place to bring it more in line. Even so a difference still exists.
-
@BurstMiner1 what do you mean? query??
i was working off
Block 331119
Current: 0.22
Historical: 1.87you have to be careful, its best to do this with a block that takes a long time 15min+ , as some miners can submit deadlines very late especially if mining while plotting. A late deadline would change all the %'s
-
@haitch told me that he would be able to run an sql query to get my exact payout for that block, which is provided above.
I was very careful. Do you have any idea how long it takes waiting for blocks to be written ready with finger on the button to grab a screenshot. I've spent hours on this. And when I do believe a mistake was made or potentially the information was wrong I dumped those records. I have 2 samples to test and I am still waiting on the query for the second. As soon as that is supplied I will tune my calculations for block fees and report back. Though I still believe an issue exists. Thanks very much for the help. Surprised other were unable to advise on the block fees, just goes to show.
-
@BurstMiner1 i examined it before and it seemed correct, but each pool is different so who know's.
-
I have also questioned the accountability of the system. If you read this whole thread you will see what I mean. If those functions were put in place then it would make life a lot easier.
-
@BurstMiner1 yes i agree. In accounting the system of double entry is used to verify calculations. I suggested to some pool operators before to do reverse calculations based on payouts to check that everything balances. So that neither the pool operator or pool miners lose out.

Look the competition hates ninja pools because they win all the time. At least everybody hates Jeff Gordan why because he won all the time and their drivers didn't. Now Like in
Nascar every pool starts the same under the hood. I can tell most of the beginner miners don't like Uray code and 2 years ago left every uray coded pool to goto Ninjas. When I look at the Ninja code I see the same uray style payout from 2014 along with the same coded functions from uray code. The different is the pretty picture. I can take any pools web interface and change it to look like theirs, even ninjas without disturbing the code while you mine.
Lex took the Uray code and improved the block payout but its still a split where some goes to the block winner and some goes to the miners.
Last year was a great year for finding blocks because the reward was 3700+ Now a reward of 2146 can not pay 100+ miners. Later I'll breakout a uray payout and a lex payout
-
My min payout is set at 80 because the little miners have no where to go but us small pools who welcome them . I can set my min to 300 a day like ninja yet do you believe how many small miners and newbies that affects.

@BurstMiner1 I'm at work at the moment, I can get payout info from the DB when I get home - about 90 minutes.
