pool.ccminer.net:8080 new pool for big miners!!!

  • @Han-Solo said in pool.ccminer.net:8080 new pool for big miners!!!:
The problem for a pool like ccminer or .ninja is not big miners join together. The problem is that also hundreds of small miners mine in big pools instead of being and helping the pool designed for them.

I would argue just the opposite. Many small miners on a pool like this is an advantage to the bigger miners on the pool. First the internal algorithm for the ninja style pool favors the bigger miners by design. If you don't have small miners then you aren't a big miner. Second the collective power of the small miners will hit block in which big miners will collect their historic shares, where most of the time a small miner will not submit a DL. So I would welcome small miners. If I were a small miner I would stay away from any pool that makes me the lower part of the pool.

  • Why should pools be segregated? In my eyes every pool should be an appropriate choice. I favor all pools drop their deadline restrictions!
Go solo if you dont like it!

I am continuing the discussion and wont appropriate it if I cant show my views on this thread.

The day you say a single burst miner is a problem is the day you should mine by yourself!
Large miners dont have the right to tell other miner where they are to mine!

    Open the pools to all!

  • @tross Man pools are open to everyone without restrictions .. small capacity miners will not benefit from pools like this one, its better for them to go to other pools with higher DL. No one is telling them to stay away as you say, this is the logical option!

  • there are restrictions .. the only way a pool can restrict is to lower the DL limit to the point the pool rejects the majority of DL's from any miner under X tb's all this doe's is turn away smaller miner's and allow larger miners to group together. it's a push for centralisation in the name of greed as you clearly dont want to share block reward with anyone but are willing to share with someone that might find more blocks than yourself when you have a bad day.

  • to corral all the large miners in one place is not good for burst.

  • The problem is I have an "Burst for all attitude" and you a "Burst for a few" . I dont know any other coin pool that restricts my size. By not accepting all my DL then Its a restriction. Large miners cant dictate change they go by the same rules as the rest. If the pool operators chose to further segregate the miners then it a sad day for burst. Get rid of restriction accept all dl let the people mine where the want!

@tross That assumes all pools are willing to play equally. If Ninja wants to open their deadlines to all, then I'll adjust ccminers as well, but while one pool tries to make itself the "Go to" pool for large miners, we'll try to compete to keep the mining distributed.

  • @tross Tross, maybe you should join forces and get your pool with its miners to ccminer's pool and feel the difference .. maybe then you'll stop this endless argument

@Han-Solo you accused me of being influenced by Burst Nation! lol Where were they when I posted this?

@haitch This is where I see this going! Except this time it will be 3 pools instead of one. Ok I guess this means spread out Sorry!
Is this your goal? Difficulty will dictate who earns what so why restrict pools? Why do the other pools have to act before you budge.
    So nothing will be done!

Burstcoin is over 200 right now but tell me is this only the work of large miners? Take the small miners out of the picture and see what happens. The idea of the appropriate place for small miners is absurd! Why dont we make some other divisions just for fun.

@tross If I shutdown ccminer, or open up it's deadlines what happens? There becomes one pool geared towards high capacity miners. If they won't move - and where is the incentive for them to move? Mining becomes focused on a single pool. ccMiner gives large miners the same experience as Ninja, with a lower fee. We're not trying to monopolize miners, I provide multiple pools that accept any deadline - and one that accepts short ones - If you can come up with a way to get the Ninja miners to distribute, I'll drop the restriction.

  • @haitch I think that "If Then" the right attitude. For the moment if you look at the Pool sizes.

I would say that they look as good as they have been for some time. So long as there is a willingness to change dependant on how things develop then I think we are in a good place.

  • I don't see any of this happening and only throw out more questions. So how many blocks can 1 pool find in a day and pay to miners who cant find one a steady pay per day.

What does a 100tb miner want? Shorter deadlines? Consistent pay? A small pool with a unlimited deadline vs a ninja pool doesn't matter as 100tb still will yield so many blocks per day. Every small pool needs a good miner to find blocks inorder to pay it small miners.

I think the issue will be soon how can all these pools run when the reward is quickly going down.
with Reward: 1,937 how much will the 100tb miner accept? 800 so the rest goes to the others?

@tross I don't understand your problem is it difficult to run the pool for 355 miners? Is it not paying for you?
Haitch and Ccminer are running assets that require them run a pool and the assets. Those can't shutdown.
All the burstcoin pools are just like the BTC pools out there. You ave china pools that find all the blocks with high fees. Then you have Kano with low fees and happy miners followed by the smaller ones like bcmonster and p2pool.
Burst is the same as ninja is the china pool with ccminer and haitch tied for second.

  • As a pool gets closer to 600 miners or so, the deadline needs to be shortened for the server resources. Miners start getting "not confirmed." Tross pool has not yet seen this at 355 miners. As soon as I get not confirmed I move to a new pool. It will be interesting to see if trosspool goes up or down and what kind of changes will be made.

  • @crutsy Definitely one of the main reasons I have moved pools is to get away from the not confirmed, which I think is also made worse by my poor internet connection.

May be a thing of the past with the work that focus is doing on the ninja / new Pool code? So I guess that will soon be available to the BN Pools?

  • First you need to make sure your non confirmed dl is really non confirmed. It could be on the pool but confirm got loss. If they keep ddos our pools then more non confirms might show up. So far have been ddos everyday how do I know well i got emails from my provider. Both pool systems have been worked on for capacity. I have seen my pool with more than 2tb and it ran ok. but changes were made so might even do better who knows.

@Burstde I dont run a pool for the money. What bothers me is watching my miners mine for nothing. As difficulty goes up and more people buy hdd's then yes it will get harder to get blocks. I have lost large miners to these large miner pools and thats where its unfair. If you offer them a place where they earn more they go. I dont blame them so would I! But in the end all the large miners are there and what about the rest?

  • Heck maybe I am wrong cause everyone is against me on this thread!
