pool.ccminer.net:8080 new pool for big miners!!!

@rds Good then you already know that if you hit a block, my wallet address is in my signature feel free to donate some if you want heheehe
It should have DDOS protection, like @haitch said it may work for some pools, i guess it depends on the rules established for each IP address...
@haitch looks like i afterall outsmarted you hehehe jk

So I am away for a couple of Days so thought I would mine on ninja and see how the rewards compare and what happens?
Has there been any Attack on ccminer and if so how is the protection working?

@ccminer Thought I would share this. It's a cut from the Pools Data with an added column Blocks / Finder.
What I found interesting was the comparison between the Solo Miners and ccminer which implies that the average plot size for the Solo Miners is less than the average on ccminer?
For reference I have 80TB and have mined 12 Blocks in the last 10 days, so just under but close to the ccminer average, suggesting that the average Solo Miner has less than 80TB? I had always assumed that they would all be at least 100TB with then some very large ones?

@Han-Solo I am in favour of keeping the number of nonces submitted to a nice low manageable number to keep the pool responsive. We are currently around 20 - 30 and I have proposed that as necessary the Deadline be reduced to keep it under under 50.
However I am far from certain that reducing the Deadline as a means of keeping away very small Miners will work? In practice they should not be on ninja but they are there, so my feeling is they may well choose to come here whatever the Deadline?
In practice what is more likely to keep them away is that this is not an approved Burst Nation Pool :-)
I assume your concern is that they rarely Mine blocks but still get a payout?
I cannot do the maths to show it but I suspect that everyone regardless of their TB or Pool that they are Mining on in the long run get's an appropriate reward, albeit in the short run they might be better off?
What would you class as a small miner and do you have real data to show that small Miners are a "problem"?

@Han-Solo said in pool.ccminer.net:8080 new pool for big miners!!!:
The problem for a pool like ccminer or .ninja is not big miners join together. The problem is that also hundreds of small miners mine in big pools instead of being and helping the pool designed for them.I would argue just the opposite. Many small miners on a pool like this is an advantage to the bigger miners on the pool. First the internal algorithm for the ninja style pool favors the bigger miners by design. If you don't have small miners then you aren't a big miner. Second the collective power of the small miners will hit block in which big miners will collect their historic shares, where most of the time a small miner will not submit a DL. So I would welcome small miners. If I were a small miner I would stay away from any pool that makes me the lower part of the pool.

Why should pools be segregated? In my eyes every pool should be an appropriate choice. I favor all pools drop their deadline restrictions!
Go solo if you dont like it!I am continuing the discussion and wont appropriate it if I cant show my views on this thread.
The day you say a single burst miner is a problem is the day you should mine by yourself!
Large miners dont have the right to tell other miner where they are to mine!Open the pools to all!
-
@tross Man pools are open to everyone without restrictions .. small capacity miners will not benefit from pools like this one, its better for them to go to other pools with higher DL. No one is telling them to stay away as you say, this is the logical option!
-
there are restrictions .. the only way a pool can restrict is to lower the DL limit to the point the pool rejects the majority of DL's from any miner under X tb's all this doe's is turn away smaller miner's and allow larger miners to group together. it's a push for centralisation in the name of greed as you clearly dont want to share block reward with anyone but are willing to share with someone that might find more blocks than yourself when you have a bad day.

to corral all the large miners in one place is not good for burst.

The problem is I have an "Burst for all attitude" and you a "Burst for a few" . I dont know any other coin pool that restricts my size. By not accepting all my DL then Its a restriction. Large miners cant dictate change they go by the same rules as the rest. If the pool operators chose to further segregate the miners then it a sad day for burst. Get rid of restriction accept all dl let the people mine where the want!

@tross That assumes all pools are willing to play equally. If Ninja wants to open their deadlines to all, then I'll adjust ccminers as well, but while one pool tries to make itself the "Go to" pool for large miners, we'll try to compete to keep the mining distributed.
-
@tross Tross, maybe you should join forces and get your pool with its miners to ccminer's pool and feel the difference .. maybe then you'll stop this endless argument

@Han-Solo you accused me of being influenced by Burst Nation! lol Where were they when I posted this?
@haitch This is where I see this going! Except this time it will be 3 pools instead of one. Ok I guess this means spread out Sorry!
Is this your goal? Difficulty will dictate who earns what so why restrict pools? Why do the other pools have to act before you budge.
So nothing will be done!Burstcoin is over 200 right now but tell me is this only the work of large miners? Take the small miners out of the picture and see what happens. The idea of the appropriate place for small miners is absurd! Why dont we make some other divisions just for fun.

@tross If I shutdown ccminer, or open up it's deadlines what happens? There becomes one pool geared towards high capacity miners. If they won't move - and where is the incentive for them to move? Mining becomes focused on a single pool. ccMiner gives large miners the same experience as Ninja, with a lower fee. We're not trying to monopolize miners, I provide multiple pools that accept any deadline - and one that accepts short ones - If you can come up with a way to get the Ninja miners to distribute, I'll drop the restriction.
