Burstnation & Network situation & Local Wallets
-
@rds I'm not saying no one run local wallets. Obviously most of us can figure out how to run them, although they do take care. I'm just curious as to how these f'ed up un-synced wallets effect the chain quality
-
@k.coins it should affect it in no way since untill its fully synced they just talk with peer and downloads blocks. Now granted if there would be only couple nodes and shitload of user syncing it might have an impact (but even then i doubt it since these days upload is big at those datac centers servers usually reside :) )
And i didnt need to do anything to my wallet since i upgraded it to 1.2.7 ;) not sure whats up with everyone else having such problems. And keep in mind i hammer my local wallet like there is no tomorrow when coding something to be used in these same wallets ;)

Is there a list of trusted peer nodes, or blacklisted bad nodes us local wallet attempters should have in a config file? I to am using 1.2.7 on two machines. A win7 and a win 10 laptop.

Well earlier this morning, my miner on .biz was over 300 deferred and waiting for a payment (was actually 384 coins). Well, now that deferred amount is gone and the transaction to my account never happened. Whether this was at the time of a fork or not its hard to tell, but I know for 100% I saw these numbers earlier and they never came through so I know for a FACT things are not working like they should at the bare minimum with the .biz pool or issues that are happening on the blockchain itself!
I tend to make about 100k BURST monthly from my miners, and at this pace, ill be nowhere near that!
Same my Deffered payments dissapeared on burstcoin.eu wasnt much around 45 or something but kind of annoying it just dissapeared

@rds not sure, i havent done anything to it, not even blacklisted someone :) tho i was ittich at one point looking at someone using 1.2.2 as sometimes i get in my cmd window loads of block not accepted so been wondering where those bad blocks coming from.
-
So you're running the cmd window. I'm using the AIO and it says 1.2.7. Is there an advantage to running from the cmd window only?
I tried it once and it just sat there saying the genesis block was loaded, that was it. It was working because I was solo mining off it. But I didn't like the no feedback look and went back to the AIO. In fact, just downloaded 3.8.3 version. I realize, i think, that the 1.2.7 did not change across all the AIO upgrades. Hope this makes sense.
-
@rds AIO uses cmd client in background, thats why the wallet UI is the same and my mods works in AIO ;)
it takes time to start thats why you seen that genesis already in db. After some time it will post more messages and at some point will say server started succesfully, at that time you can just open your browser and go to 127.0.0.1:8125 and you will see same wallet as you are used to ;)
I am using cmd only as i dont need the other fluff that comes with AIO. For new users AIO will be more easy to use as it just double-click away. More tech savy people just chooses wichever they need more.

Forget the names and stuff, let's try and be positive about this all and if everyone is promoting BURST the way they want, it indirectly helps us all.. I am in both forums and am going to be neutral and do my thing for Burst..I respect all BURSTERS..yes there was fighting and kicking and screaming but we need to get past all that..

@k.coins I personally like more the pre-release of the AIO wallet than the last version. I find the sync part faster with it
https://github.com/dawallet/burstwindowswallet/releases/tag/0.3.9-rc2
I actually went back to using it...The RC2 has the latest core wallet with updated libraries and better fork protection. Glad to hear that the improved performance is not just my imagination.
-
My AIO uses 1.2.7, is that the latest core wallet or do I need to get this to improve my local wallet performance?
-
@rds I am talking here about the 1.2.8 beta which should not be used in production. Only testing.
-
ok, is @vexact a tester? The impression I got from the post above, he was using it to do his thing.
-
biz is forked....go figure
-
This is probably what was happening to me, I only have 10TB but was pulling a block every 2-3 days, for just over a month now i have managed to only pull 2, That is a HUGE drop and yes i know the network may have increased a lot but it should not just drop off like that. I'm on the .biz pool FYI.
-
@Snoops yeah I moved my miners off....and its already started to look better for both of them. I don't think the network traffic flood helped either, but ill keep my miners where they are now unless something changes there.
-
And there it goes with "Rain" again. Be prepared to have issues with shit the rest of the day.
-
Well I think its better to find out that the Chains isn't ready for this kind of transactions instead of when Burst is big and we have this amount (or even more) transactions 24/7
-
@Menaxerius Yes but we have found out now. Why not call a truce and when the Dev's have made some improvments, turn the tap back on?

The point is, when you find a problem, you fix it. You don't use it as an EXPLOIT to profit, which is exactly what burst nation is doing!
-
Who can stop this annoying burst rain. I really cant take any more... The moment I needed most the transactions are stuck, Cant even increase the fee because its a reward assignment type
