Burst.ninja is getting too big

@Burstde Adam is raining again 10 Burst/address, 6 coin fee.
-
@haitch Oh well looking on the bright side that is better than the 6 +6 we had earlier. While I remember what happens to the fees on a pool? Is it distributed along with the Block reward, or kept by the Pool owner?
Rich
-
@RichBC On the Uray/Lexicon code I believe it's distributed, on the Ninja I've honestly no idea sorry.
-
@haitch Well worth asking as I guess he thinks he is giving to the Miners with these inflated fees, but perhaps he is not?
Rich
-
I believe Ninja pays differently and I don't know if Uray can ever be changed to match. I don't think it has a setting to pay 24/hrs or 300
-
@RichBC That would be a questions for Catbref - I can look through the code and see if I could figure it out .....
But if it does go to the owners, then in my case it goes to BursTeam asset owners, I don't get anything from the pools directly.
-
@Burstde It's not a 24hr / 300 burst issue. Just is a ninja pool structured to add the Block fee to the Block reward and distribute it to the Miners or keep it for the Pool owner?
Rich
-
Oh but something is different to attract more miners. Why do they chose it?
-
@haitch Would be good to know, would not want Robin Hood to be giving to the Rich Pool Owners instead of the Poor Miners. :-)

@RichBC Let lexicon correct me if I am wrong.
Lets say we hit a block 55% goes to current shares and 45% goes to all shares.
All shares has a total of 40000 shares and 45% of block reward is 966 burst 966/40000=0,02415
1 share at this block win is 0,02415 burst. So the 1st ranked All shares gets 0,02415 x 8000(his shares) = 193.2 burst
every block win is a little different. Maybe not so clear as ninja but at my pool you see who go paid what.
-
a block reward of 2146 + Tx Fee
55% goes to winner and 45% goes to all others.

OK I think I have understood that, but the thing I need to understand, and like is how the historic Share for each Miner is built up over a series of blocks that the pool has not won? On a ninja pool your historic share is built up from how good a deadline you got on the last 50 Blocks and this has always seemed very fair to me as a reward for a significant period of Mining.
v2 / Lex pool is different from this and when I had attempted to understand it or see it presented on the Pool it was always far from clear?
Rich
-
@RichBC I think its about the same but will have to ask Lexicon to explain that cause he reads the code better.
ninja isnt so clear either. on current round where does the reward go?
-
Thermal 34 mins, 3 secs 27.999% 353.29 translate to this Thermal 80.4TB 3.205% 26.96 210D + 488668
CURRENT HistoricalAfter this round how does current get figured into historical? Looks like a mystery to me!

@tross @RichBC You are going slowly off topic here. You're welcome to open a new thread to discuss differences of the pool software.
Some of you are saying that they don't earn as much as on ninja because of personal experience. There is no hard evidence for that. Nobody measured the differences of pools with only big miners or mixed miners or the difference between large and small pools. There is no data and one data point, personal experience of a timeframe, is certainly not enough.
Having a pool that gets closer to 50% every day is on the other hand an major issue. At the end of all disadvantages I see people not investing in this project because of this.
-
@daWallet Sorry agreed getting close to 50% on a Pool is not good. @tross let's continue any other discussions elsewhere.

Hi Everyone,
I've been solo mining for a while but had serious problems syncing my wallet on Tuesday. I jumped on Burst.Ninja whilst I worked on getting the issue sorted. I'll be going back to solo Monday.

See my post about my wallet being 1-2 blocks behind, totally bogus for solo mining. You have to be watching it constantly. Not going solo until the local wallet is more reliable.

I posted an answer on your other thread
