My current situation, day 3 of block chain dl
-
Greetings all,
I really enjoy the support I have received on here. Unfortunately, the mining setup has been a challenge.
Here is my current situation.
Started downloads 3 days ago.
Blockchan and local wallet download were stuck at about 80% for over 12 hours.
I closed the client and restarted after 10 minutes as someone suggested.
I logged in to online wallet, and there was a balance of 6 burst, and a message in red.
The msg. Said I didn't have a public key with account, and said to give account name send message, send burst.
I sent burst, then waited.
Nothing happened.
Then I realized block chain was non longer downloading, and local wallet wasn't syncing, so I logged into local wallet. No wallet syncing message so I assume that is done??? Still no balance from faucets.
Says downloading blockchain appears about 80% where it has been for 18 hours now.
So, then I log back into online wallet, and the balance is zero, no account name set.
I am so lost.

@PETENICE You really don't need the local wallet to have all features available.
Log in with your passphrase in the online wallet and be sure that you have no typo. Trailing spaces are well known as a common problem.

have you tryed downloading the most recent DB save from http://forums.burst-team.us:4567/topic/45/burst-blockchain-ddl-updated-regular-every-24h-zipped/102 then you just close the wallet delete the DB and extract the new DB and past it into the directory . you can find the directory in file C:/user's/<your user name>/appdata/roaming/burstwallet/burst_DB
the Appdata folder is a hiden file and you will need to change view setings to see it

@Gibsalot Thanks, but I am really new. What is a db? Can you dumb it down a bit?

The client is fully functional with the online wallet and the local wallet can slowly sync up. The blockchain corruption is not a problem in the new version anymore.

@PETENICE the DB is the data base aka the Block chain that you are trying to download useing the wallet's sync function you can download it via a normal web download and then just past it into the wallets install file
-
@Gibsalot I think that is what I have been doing for the past 3 days.
-
@Gibsalot My local wallet appears to be syncing again. I am just impatient.
-
you may just be having some network downloading issues id just let it sync normal and use the online side of the wallet till it's finished
