32 bit download on 64 bit laptop
-
I dl the 32 bit version on my 64 laptop.
Is this gonna be a problem.
Didn't see a 64 download for windows?
-
@PETENICE if you mean a client for BURST. Yes your good :)
-
@LithStud Yes, Thank you!!!
-
@PETENICE just make sure you have 64 bit java installed, and generaly if there is 64bit version of software it is better :)
-
@LithStud I do, thank you.

@LithStud Do I need to setup an account name? I have a wallet with password, a login account and passphrase. Now I need to set up an account name and another passphrase???? Confused on this one.
-
@PETENICE once your inside you wallet you need to make one outgoing transaction (or incoming i think works too) to secure that address as your own. So just hit some faucet and set your wallets information (like Name of wallet).
-
@LithStud My local wallet is still syncing. I jit a few faucets while wallet was still syncing. Still nothing. I am guessing too soon.
My other issue is I created a local wallet with a weak password.
Can I update the passphrase. Or should I download a new wallet.
Do I need an online wallet and a local wallet.
Sorry for all the ??
And thank you for the input.

@PETENICE that what this forum is for :)
Best way to just tweak a bit the passphrase wallet offers you when creating account.
The passphrase cant be changed as it dirrectly associated with your address, so different passphrase different address ;) everything is stored on blockchain. So if you want to use online wallet you can use same passphrase and get access to your wallet (i like to have one address that i access only from my local wallet - i am paranoid like that ;) )You wont be able to use local wallet untill it fully synchronizes blockchain (check the forums thread of BURST Software i think, there is a thread with a link to blockchain zip you can download and thus speed up synchro speed). So if you create new wallet just send the burst you get from faucets from old wallet to new one and you should be set.
Cheers and happy Bursting :)

@LithStud I am so confused. Lol
I went to faucets and gave them my Burst address.
My wallet wasn't syncd, so I thought the coins would hit my account balance (on dashboard), but they have not.
So, I guess the wallet needs to be fully syncd before the coins will hit??
Cant I just upload another wallet, and use a better passphrase?
Still unclear how to secure a better passphrase.
-
@PETENICE you dont need to download a new one :) client is the same :)
You can see your coins connecting to online wallet as they are synced.
-
@LithStud Sent you a small token.
I am still list and confused.
-
@PETENICE no problem :) glad you starting to get the hang of it :)
