Wallet will not find hard drive
-
I have connected my external hard drive but the wallet does not find it.
I tried reconnecting to the wallet after I connected it...
-
@cryptobawbag Tried restarting your system?
-
@k.coins that worked but now I am getting: For faster writing you should restart your plotter with administrative rights.
I have gone to the plots folder but it is empty.
-
@cryptobawbag alright, have you now tried to run the wallet as admin? By right clicking on it's shortcut and using the "Run as Administrator" option?
Another solution here is to run xplotter directly from the folder it's located in. If you open your file explorer and type in %AppData% in the address bar it will bring you near its location. From there go to "Roaming" and then "BurstWallet." You'll see the xplotter folder there. Once there, you can right click on the "RunThisAsAdmin" batch file and run it as admin.
Now... you really should also right click on the file and "edit" it to make sure the parameters are correct, but hopefully since you've tried to plot from the wallet, the correct parameters are already saved there. Let's just try to get you to the file location first tho

I have tried to run the wallet as admin, I get the error: error creating stream for file
When trying to run the xplotter file from the folder I get: xplotter has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly....

@cryptobawbag said in Wallet will not find hard drive:

The filesystem is formatted as FAT32, you need to reformat as NTFS.
-
How can I do this?
-
@cryptobawbag From Windows Explorer, right click the drive letter, select format, make sure that File System Type is set to NTFS, then click format. This will WIPE the drive, so if you have data on there, copy it off first.

Thank you. Your help has been invaluable today

@cryptobawbag You're welcome. It's what we're all here for.
