-
I got it embedded at http://burstpool.ddns.net/# think it a great asset to the community!
-
@ccminer yeap that resolved it no more jaring scrolling text in the corner of my eye :)
-
@LithStud said in New chat feature.:
@Energy doesnt work for me
Didn't work for me but after two refresh it worked :D
It still block the + sign while adding a new post or pm's, but at least there's no more scrolls :D@Energy thanks ^_^
-
@ccminer @haitch @daWallet don't know who to contact for this, but you have an issue with the chat!
Every time someone goes to another page; it generates another iframe... I've got 32 frames of the chat!
-
@Zeus I have nothing to do with the chat. I'm happy that I've found a solution here to stop the scrolling.
It's only some hours old so there are some issues. I don't know if there's a better plugin available.
-
@Zeus I don't know how @haitch actually put the script into the pages but I don't get your problem so far and I surf the forum a bit since the chat has been uploaded
-
@ccminer it was rather easy I put it in between <div> </div> and hooked up on a tab the biggest problem was anti virus but dont know why
-
@tross Not sure I understand, antivirus don't generate iframes o.o
@ccminer how is possible you don't have this? Even after multiple refreshes I still get multiple iframes, and in fact that's why we need to refresh everytime we try to hide it or do anything with it, because there's a second one below the first one we hide clicking the arrow.
@daWallet haha sorry I didn't know who to contact about this :P
-
@tross I know but it looks like @Zeus has a problem but I don't know how haitch implemented it here and how to check the cause of his problem.
For example did you experienced something similar?
-
@Zeus no they dont but why anti virus idk
-
where does it generate iframes?
-
@ccminer visually we only see one, but looking at inspect element there's a bunch of iframes, every time I change page I get another frame.
-
@Zeus I have no access to the source code, I had no visible issue, you are talking about a source code issue and just an @administrators can check and solve.
I use it in a different website and it does not replicate the issue, it's something unique here
-
@ccminer oh yes that's for sure it's only here, it's not the chat that generate itself ^_^ it's only that it's placed somewhere in the source that causes it to generate another every time.
Just wanted to report the issue because it could cause lag for some low specs computers, it's a new connection to the chat every time.
-
ok i only get 1 when I inspect with chrome
oops when I looked further down I found lots of cells for a table but would expect them cause they are temporary.
-
@haitch a video showing the problem, maybe it help:
http://recordit.co/ETwbXqY48t
-
@Zeus I noticed that even the google analytics script behave the same, so must be something linked with this nodeBB I guess
-
I have the same problem as @Zeus.
I'm using MacOS and it appears on both Chrome and Safari.
It also appears on IOS with safari. On IOS it limits the usability, as it blocks the navigation tool. If you forget to minimise it at the start of your session, you won't be able minimise it without reloading the site.
-
@FrilledShark I check the code and yeah me too it keeps cloning the script every time you trough the pages here
